That's not what is impeachment. Impeachment is to remove a high official so THEN they can held accountable. The Senate is limited in judge to one thing remove or not. The Constitution DICTATES that accountability and sanction is left to the Judicial Branch. Trump is now subject to that and any sanction should come from there or from the voters.

Sequels for fiction movies usually do worse at the box office, and the ratings for this performance are no different. Everyone knows the plot and the ending. The witch gets accused, tied to a stake and doused with gasoline. But then no one in the majority of accusers has a match, so a minority of truth-seekers untie the witch and let him go unscathed and vindicated.

It's the same plot as the original Witch Hunt but more predictable and boring. There is no drama left. Director N. Pelosi produced a real snoozefest for the public.

According to the movie critics (Rasmussen): Only 15% of voters say they’ll watch the entire Senate impeachment trial on TV, and 21% expect to watch most of it. Thirty percent (30%) say they’ll watch some of Trump’s trial, but 32% won’t watch any of it. Two thumbs down.

And yes we in this country have a right to face our accusers, and hearsay evidence is not admissible under due process and that is ALL that was offered today. Sources said this or that, well who exactly is that and why aren't they sitting there at a table so the defense can cross examine them.
