It's always funny to me how liberals (who are obviously not racist) are very quick to point out that blacks are faster and jump higher, but will scream racism if you say whites are smarter

 

I don't know if its necessarily because they are from broken homes. The more talented players are usually the ones that leave earlier. For instance take Shane Battier, he stayed in college for 4yrs and he has never been anything more than a role player as compared to Lebron James or Kobe Bryant who came out right out of HS and into the NBA and both have been very successful.

Lebron came from a single parent home and Kobe came from a two parent home.

Because only 1.2% of college basketball players go on to the NBA.

So most players are better off with a degree than being black.

 

What's the point of going to school longer and risking career-ending injury when you can go make money. One has to consider that a lot of young men in this situation are coming from poor families. Lets see you stay in school when a job offers you $100,000+ and your family has been living on food stamps.

 

It doesn't matter what the reason is. The idea that a guy can't quit school and turn pro just because they play a sport is stupid. We don't tell other people who are in college that they can't do it.

 

You're missing the point. He can stay in school.. the point is.. he has a SCHOLARSHIP where the school is funding him to be there. What's the point in funding him for an "education" if he won't finish? Like I said, let them go straight to minor leagues or stay the whole time. College shouldn't be a minor league when it comes to sports.

 

That is the risk they take and they are banking on that athlete to bring in more revenue than they are giving away in the form of a scholarship. No college student regardless of being on scholarship or what they do as an extra curricular activity should be told they cannot quit and find a job.

Also what if that guy does blow his knee out? Maybe if the college can force them to stay, they should pay them for the lost wages because of that rule.

its all about socio-economics and culture.

When Jews first came to the USA, they had much lower IQ scores. And they had a much higher poverty rate than today.

IQ scores, genius rates, education gaps etc.

But the most glaring evidence of all is that the african people had a head start on EVERYONE but were 1000 years behind the human race when the white man came to africa.
