There are , undeniably, two major factions.

I've just denied it :). Lots of people try to present it as a two sided issue because that makes it an easier (if less meaningful) debate, but the actual issue isn't a simple option A or option B. Some of those you'd call pro-abortion might be in favour of a completely open to all, no questions asked system while others would want a level (possibly a strict level) of checks and restrictions. Similarly, those you'd call anti-abortion could be against it in any circumstances what-so-ever while others accept it where the mothers life is at risk or even in the event of major genetic defects.

Actively maintaining the impression of the simple us and them argument on this issue achieves less than nothing, it's just a way to avoid answering the really difficult, practical questions.

Which is, I fear, the whole point.

Judge: Abortionist Must Pay $36M to Botched Abortion Survivor

Let me repeat this for the mod who changed the title of my thread without notifing me:

Hope this bankrupts this abortionist - and closes down his business of death.

So a fortune will be paid to a kid who should never have been born in the first place?

And she went to a hospital because it was 'taking too long' - did she tell hospital staff she was having an abortion? If so, why did the staff insist on saving the child and not allowing it to die?

Because, thankfully, most medical personnel stive to HELP people, and save lives, and don't want anything to do with killing innocent unborn babies.

Besides, there are LAWS about aborting viable unborn babies...and a requirement to treat those aborted babies born alive.

    Remember the Philly mass murderer/abortionist?

    http://www.politicalforum.com/abortion/168311-philly-abortionist-facing-8-counts-murder.html

Among his numerous crimes, he would abort late term unborn babies and when they were born alive (usually in a toliet bowl), he would murder the babies by snipping their spinal cords with a scissors.

I hope you are not advocating THAT! :puke:

What measures were taken by the hospital to keep a 22 week, 1 pound, 6 oz. baby alive?

For more information about Abortionist James Pendergraft and the case mentioned in the OP, this is a good article:

Why was the abortionist in the Federal Pen? He was on charges of conspiracy to commit extortion, lying under oath and mail fraud.

As to the usual procedures for this 'safe-n-legal' abortion:
