I say do away with insurance and watch the prices of everything concerned with medical care go down in price. People are not getting a deal with the insurance just check out your EOB and see how much the insurance pays versus what you pay for coverage.

No, he's trying to pose as a Democrat, same as Bernie. You know that, you're just notpicking to provoke a response.

Still just posing. And the last thing we need is another billionaire in the Oval Office.

I lived in NYC during the first years of Bloomberg's mayoralship. I wouldn't trust him to walk my dog.

So you are even more radical than Bloomberg. You want to cover literally nothing. What should an unemployed person do if he gets cancer? Would you ban health insurance completely?

As long as people have the option of supplemental private insurance or paying out of pocket, they will never be forced to make any healthcare decision by the government.

The individual mandate really wasn't a mandate. It was more of a tax on people who didn't get insurance, and taxes have been around since this country began. My biggest problem with the mandate is that insufficient aid was given to people to actually afford healthcare. If healthcare was easy to afford, the tax on the uninsured would have been no big deal. That is how it works in Switzerland.

I myself support something like a two-tiered system. Most universal healthcare systems have a two-tiered system. I think that our country is just very free market and will need a very free market version of universal healthcare, even if its a bit more expensive than everyone else as a result.

If you are against a national health care plan, what does it matter? Some people don't want anyone to have any health care at all.

The Repubs will love the idea. Bloomers will carry all of the Red States.

Bloomberg said farmers and factory workers are stupid. And he said the way to control crime is to throw the black boys up against the wall and search them.

He doesn't do media interviews. He's hiding.

He's not off to a great start.

I agree that there has to be a limit. It's a hard call but I can't see paying hundreds of thousands to prolong someone's life a month or two when they are 90 years old and will live that time in the hospital anyway.

On the other hand, perhaps someone can start working on health care costs instead of continuing to shuffle who pays the bills. People (especially Democrats) gave up on reducing health care costs and now only consider lower insurance costs as "healthcare costs."

It's like trying to lower gasoline costs by changing banks.

Exactly this. But we reduce costs in large part by A: Cutting payroll, and B: Cutting usage. One way is to increase home-care instead of hospice care. As an example: I'm an asthmatic. I have an inhaler to control my attacks from the happening, but should that fail I have my own nebulizer at home. As a result, I can take care of myself at home.

The more people can be self-medicated, the lower the costs of health care overall.

Even worse, he seems to be hurting himself with his own words.

I expect more juicy tidbits will leak out as we inch towards super tuesday.

Racist and sexist. From his Wiki bio:

He reportedly said if his Bloomberg terminals could provide oral sex, it would put female employees out of work.

So, Bloomburg does not support universal healthcare then?

Applying the law of supply and demand is the way to lower heath care costs. For example looking at ways to increase the number of doctors.

One of the few discussions I have engaged with you that I agree with your position.
It appears though, at least for now, that Bloomberg is probably the least favorable of all democrat candidates. Republicans don't like his policies either. If democrats take him out first it will save Trump the trouble later.
