Read the email exchange between Hillary Clinton and political advisor Sidney Blumenthal
and remember this woman wants to be president.

    http://www.powerlineblog.com/archiv...as-to-be-hillarys-crowning-accomplishment.php

The attack on Libya, and the disastrous mess that Libya has become, was supposed to be Hillary's crowning accomplishment. And as the piece points out Clinton and Blumenthal seem like scheming neocons talking about Iraq as their email exchange plots out how Hillary can take total credit for the success of Libya ("success" being a very ironic and relative term).

Libya is now a dysfunctional haven for ISIS. I've yet to hear leftists hold the Obama administration and Madame Clinton, however, accountable for this epic and deadly failure.
The Blumenthal/Clinton emails reveal the hubris and political ambition that fueled the mess.

Blumenthal was forwarding information from someone who may have had business interests in Libya, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly after Blumenthal spent nearly nine hours at the Capitol as Gowdy’s committee met in closed session. Gowdy later named former high-ranking CIA official Tyler Drumheller as the man behind the information.

Gowdy said that Blumenthal has never been to Libya, is not an expert on the country and therefore “has no idea” as to the validity of the information he was sending to Clinton, now a Democratic presidential candidate.

“Not only was [Blumenthal] providing unvetted, uncorroborated, unsubstantiated intelligence to our top diplomat, he was just simply forwarding on intelligence that somebody by the name of Tyler Drumheller was sending him,” Gowdy said.

Gowdy did not specify the author's business interest. But the original report in The New York Times on Blumenthal's memos said the information was coming from "business associates" Blumenthal was advising -- including Drumheller -- who reportedly were trying to win contracts from the transitional government, including to create floating hospitals and temporary housing. They were not successful.

“[Blumenthal] didn’t know if the sources were legitimate, he didn’t know whether or not the information had been corroborated. He was merely a conduit between somebody who may have had a financial interest in Libya and our nation’s top diplomat,” Gowdy said.

Yeah, this thread is pretty much done. The Benghazi emails have shown nothing unusual but the Republicans got their hopes up so high that they can't let go. I hope that Hillary keeps reminding them of two things: and that, for Republicans, politicking is merely attacking your opponent.

Are you kidding? It's just getting interesting!

So, we have a "high ranking CIA official" feeding sensitive information on Libya, to someone who's never been to Libya?

Hm. Ostensibly for the purpose of "acquiring business contracts from the transitional government"? This already sounds highly fishy.

But wait.... who is Tyler Drumheller, and how high exactly is his rank?

    Uh-oh. UH-OH.

Tyler Drumheller was the Division Chief for the Directorate of Operations.

Not just "any" spy. The number one spy. The top dog.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyler_Drumheller

    Well now, ain't that interesting. - grin - :)

So, we already know that Hillary's minion Victoria Nuland had a "special relationship" with CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell (at least it was good enough to get him to alter the talking points). And now we have a second example of the CIA cooperating politically with Hillary Clinton, although in this case the fellow was already "retired" - but my goodness, the top spy being "retired" is somewhat of a nonsensical concept isn't it?

    Listen to this:

Sidney Blumenthal has a prior relationship with Drumheller!

Not only that, but Sidney Blumenthal has access to "two senior CIA officers".

This gets better and better, doesn't it?

We're to believe that the nation's top spy (now retired) was in Libya trying to make some money? And in the process, he was sharing information with Sidney Blumenthal who was then sharing it with Hillary Clinton?

Oh, this is rich. Ha ha - told ya. There's not going to be anything left of Hillary by the time this is all over. LOL :)

Being an old Alinskyite who is well versed in the politics of personal destruction, Hillary would certainly be in a position to teach Republicans that.

Of course, Obama and Harry Reid have been excellent teachers, as well. Watch the Lord of the Scumbags show everyone how it's done:

There you have it. Hillary was the one behind the overthrow of Ghadaffi for political gain, nothing else. This woman needs to be in prison, she is a murderer.

Wishful thinking. We have been told by the left that Benghazi is a dead issue for two and a half years and we are still having threads about it. Obviously it isn't a dead issue. So what happened in Benghazi? The left is telling us that nothing happened but it is very slowly emerging that what did happen was that the Obama Administration armed Lybian insurgents with advanced weaponry including stinger missles. The Unisted States had a deal in place to buy back the weapons after Quaddafi was deposed and that these weapons were going to be shipped to arm Isis in order to get rid of Bashir Assad. The deal went south and the consulate in Benghazi was attacked. The administration made no effort to protect those in the consulate, possibly because the arms deal was never meant to be seen by the American public. The Administration made up a lie about the motives for the attacks. There may have been no effort to find those responsible for the attacks. The Adminstration went after an absurd film maker to pin the blame on the attacks on an innocent. Hillary Clinton lied to the widows of some of the slain men vowing to bring an absurd film maker to justice when she knew the film had nothing to do with anything.

On top of all of that, a large donor to the Clinton Foundation positioned himself to make a fortune in rebuilding contracts if Quadaffi were deposed. Hillary Clinton's e-mails on the subject dissapeared and hillary Clinton was caught in several lies about the e-mails.

So you are telling us that there is nothing to all of this? Are you really suggesting that the Obama Administration and Hillary Clinton are completely innocent in this sordid affair? Do you honestly believe that by posting '/thread' that all of this will magically go away? I can see that you believe all of us are pretty dumb (your wrong about that), but do you believe that the Administration can fool Trey Gowdey for the length of time it will take to not effect the 2016 Presidential elections?

The sad part is that all of this could have blown over with in 2013 if the Administration just decided to tell the truth. But they didn't. They stonewalled, they lied, they destroyed evidence and it looks like the facts will finally come out in October of 2016 when it will do the most damage to Democratic electoral aspirations.

I was just thinking of all the people who died, and are still dying, and all the destruction and dysfunction in Libya
just so Hillary could claim some sort of political gain on her march to the presidency.

The piece, as I've already pointed out, compared Blumenthal and Clinton to two neocons plotting over Iraq and as Colin Powell said, if you break it you buy it.
When is the media going to stop acting as if our illegal adventures in Libya never happened and there is nothing to see there?

That's a good question. It seems the Left only likes dictators THEY approve of. They keep saying Saddam should have been spared to keep Iraq under control but don't feel the same about Egypt, Libya or Syria.

I did read up on him. Does reading up on Tyler Drumheller change any of the facts about Benghazi? Does reading about Drumheller change the fact that the Administration lie about the motives for the attack? Does reading about Drumheller change the fact that the Hillary destroyed evidence of her complicity? Does reading about Drumheller change the fact that the Ambassador Stevens was in Benghazi to get arms in order to supply ISIS? Does reading about Drumheller change the fact that the Administration tried to scapegoat an innocent man who made a horrifically bad movie?

I am not seeing how reading up on Drumheller mitigates any of that.

Your problem is you keep acting as if facts and the truth will force leftists to suddenly confront the
partisan dream world they inhabit. It will take more than the cold slap of reality across their faces to do that.

It would take an ethics transplant.

I don't know if you remember, but I recall the media being all over Libya prior to Benghazi. And then once Benghazi happened, media black out on the whole country. No one knows anything that is going on there.

You'll hear every day about what a mess Iraq is. But Libya? Nope!
    http://www.bloombergview.com/articl...-and-clinton-should-face-iraq-and-libya-tests

It reinforces the leftist world view...republican neo cons bad. Democrat neo cons...not so much.

The US didn't attack Syria, Egypt or Libya or send troops into depose the dictator like we did in Iraq.

US sent airstrikes to depose Ghaddafi, who, unlike Saddam, had RENOUNCED TERRORISM, and BANNED terror groups from Libya. The Obamidiot regime also overtly supported the muslim brotherhood vs Mubarek in Egypt.

The LOL moment in this blog occurs here:

In reality, the Bush adminstration had no plan at all for what would come after they started their war. Most ME experts feared that Bush's arrogance and incompetence and risky and breezy assumptions would result in chaos and that is exactly what happened.

Of course, the fundamental fallacy in this partisan "analysis" is the comparison is not valid.

The events in Iraq were initiated by the United States. We attacked Iraq. There was no crisis, and no home grown revolt, as there was in Lybia.

Second, we were not instigators in Lybia, as right wing media takes pains to forget.

There was a home grown revolution and the Europeans stepped in to help remove Quadaffi. The US only got involved later with air and logistical support, which proved to be the tipping point.

The onus was never on the US to "fix" Lybia. We did not initiate the revolution in Lybia. We did initiate the war in Iraq.

You, and the rest of your ilk seem to go to great lengths to ignore that important distinction.

There actually was no reason whatsoever to even interview Bluementhal. He was not part of the Administration, He played no active role in the Lybian crisis.

But Gowdy knows what the facts are regarding Benghazi, and he knows that his brief is entirely political. Which is why he's trying to expand the investigation into a second guessing exercise on Lybia as a whole, a fact reflected by this article.

Ghaddafi was funding terrorist groups all over Africa... and repeatedly threatened to assassinate other Arab leaders.

There was no chaos in Iraq in December 2008.
