I'm watching the QVC right now and Bose is on. I find it amusing that the WAVE radio is the exact price {$499.95}it was back when first introduced almost 15 years ago.I've never seen an electronic piece of equipment do that. With the exception of maybe some guitar amplifiers { good tube models } or maybe high-end audiophile amps, like Mcintosh. I think it is pure hype.Bose speakers, once the envy of audiophiles everywhere { 901 series } where 9 small drivers {under 2" } Nothing more { No midrange,or woofers, tweeters} were all the rage. Then Bose came out with regular speaker systems and made the 901 series w/equlaizer obsolete.Basically the 901 series were hype. They were good, but not exacly dynamic. Can advertising alone cause a brand { Wave radio } to become so trustworthy the price never drops. I think not.I think technology, not just demand drives price. So ... what's up with the WAVE radio. It should be priced around $199.95
