Actually, it's preposterous nonsense because it's completely untrue.

The wealthy don't shove their money in their mattresses or stick it somewhere to preserve wealth and maintain the status quo - they usually invest it to generate new wealth, not only for themselves but for the enterprises they are investing in. Furthermore, the wealthy, like everyone else, are going to spend their additional income on goods and services that also help the economy. However, it's those investments that aid in the innovation in and creation of new technologies, goods, services, etc.

The best way to prevent the generation of new wealth and innovation is to toss that money into into the cesspool of waste, inefficiency and corruption in Washington. There's a reason why the Metro DC area has exploded in size and wealth over the past 50 years and become one of the richest areas in the U.S. and it's not because our taxpayer dollars are being spent on the country and its citizens as a whole.

    AT&T employment:
    12/2017 = 254,000
    3/2019 = 262,290

That's an increase of +8,290 employees.

This is article is nothing but fake news and fake outrage.

It is no wonder knothead got elected by a bunch of knotheads. Of course, the manipulation of the Electoral College helped a lot too. After all he lost by a highly significant margin the popular-vote. Meaning what?

Meaning he's a "fake PotUS". We've had five of them since Amendment 12 (establishing the Electoral College) has been around.

Our democracy has been living-a-lie for 200 years and nobody really cares. The Replicants have learned how to manipulate the popular-vote and they wont be giving that up any time soon ...

The Trump tax cuts allowed me to keep $3,200 more of my own money throughout the 2018 year compared to 2017 and I'm not a boss. Go figure.

THE ECONOMY IS NOT A SPORT!

Yeu are misinformed. You know apparently nothing about Income Inequality (Unfairness) when measured by economists employing the Gini Coefficient.

Look at the distribution of income, and tell me how lowering all income-taxes was "fair and equal". From here: How do taxes affect income inequality?
Taxation should neither worsen nor maintain an unfair distribution of total income. It should reduce Income Disparity (inequality) by taxing upper-incomes very severely.

Especially in a country where Economic Studies show that such disparity is one of the worst of any developed country. See the infographic here where (in the world-map) the deeper the colour, the more unfair income distribution is in a country. (The key economic coefficient shown is something called the Gini Index employed to measure Income Unfairness in a country.]

As do most Americans, you think that Earned Income is like a ballgame; where the more one has the more one is the "winner". What you do not understand is that the economy is not a sport and never will be ... !

Everyone who pays taxes got a tax cut...
    • All tax brackets were cut.
    • The standard deduction was doubled.
    • The child tax credit was doubled.
    • etc..
ALL AMERICANS GOT A TAX CUT!

What you don't understand is that:
*The tax-cut should never have been allowed for upper-incomes.
*Income Disparity in the US is the worst of any developed economy because of unfair taxation, particularly of upper-incomes.
*And it has been this way for a long, long time. So,
*You mistakenly believe that such is "normal".

    Well, it isn't ... !

    Figure this:
*You are not alone in this economy and there is no good reason why acute Income Disparity should exist. And,
*Neither do you care that acute Income Inequality exists as long as you get your share.
*Which means that you have no idea whatsoever of having a "fair and equitable" economy.

It's really quite simple. You're wrong, wrong, wrong on all three counts ...

Why not? They are the ones that pay the vast majority of the Federal income taxes.

The top 1% of income earners pay 40% of the Federal income taxes.
The top 10% of income earners pay 70% of the Federal incomes taxes.
The top 50% of income earners pay 96% of the Federal income taxes.
The bottom 50% of income earners pay only 4% of the Federal income taxes.

Stealing money from person "A" and giving it to person "B" doesn't make person "B" richer. It only makes person "A" poorer.

Yes there is, you haven't worked for it

You should pay your fair share of taxes, the highest rate you'd advocate for anyone else

    INCOME DISPARITY WORLD-WIDE

    Income Disparity as measured world-wide:
That purple colour above means the US Income Disparity Gini-Coefficient is between 0.45 and 0.49, a range that is far above that of, say, the European Union. (Note the colour difference between the two.)

And why does that happen? Because of much higher taxation by governments in the EU. The combined and comparative value of which in terms of Defense Expenditures is shown in this chart:

And, let's not forget the kids!

Income Disparity chart as regards children world-wide:

Because THEY DON'T NEED A TAX CUT!

In fact, they already enjoy some of the best (meaning lowest) levels of taxation in the world! From here: Which Countries Have High Taxes on High Incomes? - excerpt:
What does the above mean? It means that America's super-rich are Rolling in Dough!

That is, they have soooooo much invested "comfortaby" by professionals who buy/sell various money-related instruments, that virtually guarantees (at worst) little-loss and (at best) very good returns. Money Management for the rich is a lucrative business around the world. Whyzzat?

Because Income Taxation is insufficiently "hard". Whazzat mean?

It means that for whatever the reasons countries have refused to institute the highest levels of Income Taxation. In fact, once upon a time, the US had a taxation rate close to 95% on upper incomes. Don't believe that? See taxation-history graphic here* and note that the highest tax-rate of 91% existed in the US from 1944 to 1983!

It was JFK who (to please his father) started the considerable reduction in 1963 (to 70%) - the law was actually signed by JBJ. But the drastic lowering of upper-rates* began with Reckless Ronnie in 1980 when they crashed from 70% to below 30% in 1988!

Why do you think the Filthy-Rich make statues to his image!?! He's their Saint Ronnie ... !

*And these rates are the global rates specified by law - but the actual rate depends various tax-manipulations that can be performed to lower the overall-rate.

    Simplistic nonsense!

You'd be happier on a Message Board with your pedantic simplicisms. This is a DEBATE Forum.

And the point I am trying to make is NOT THAT WE SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY RICH PEOPLE - but that in a country as rich as ours we should have no abjectly poor people without the necessary protections.

And we can achieve that goal if only we get a government that cuts the DoD's funding from half the total (refer here to the Discretionary Budget) to less than 25% and with those savings we institute a National Healthcare-Insurance Service and Free (or Nearly Free) Tertiary Education for our children!

These two ameliorations alone will inevitably change the lives of close to 40 to 45 million of OUR FELLOW AMERICANS presently living below the Poverty Threshold ... !

The left: Increased federal revenues doesn't mean increased federal revenues because the deficit increased. Liberal logic 101.
