Citing "national security" concerns, the president claimed he had "no choice" but to further delay the release of hundreds of documents.

They keep pushing the release of information it back further and further. So much for draining the swamp, Trump!!! Looks like the reptiles, alligators, snakes and toads are still there lurking for victims.

Typical apologist mantra. When authority is questioned, always be sure to invoke the ever ready "conspiracy theory" and "nutjob" cards. It's the "intelligent" thing to do and more importantly, it works for the ignorant majority.

NYTimes - Still Pimping for the CIA, 50 years on

After the JFK assassination, it was obvious to many that the events as reported just didn't pass the smell test.

    • The assassin is immediately apprehended, but while he is held in custody, surrounded by police, a man walks up to him with a revolver and shoots him in the stomach.
    • There will be no trial for either murder, no investigation, because the man who shoots him is dying of cancer.
    • The President is shot from the back, but his head flies backward under the impact.
    • A single bullet pierced him in 3 places, then went on to injure Gov Connally who was standing next to him, then fell conveniently out onto the operating table in the hospital two hours later, looking fresh as a daisy.
    • The assassin is crazed by his own communist leanings, but the man he assassinates is actively seeking rapprochement with the Soviet Union and an end to the Cold War.
So they had to have a Commission with the prestige of Earl Warren behind it to inscribe their fairy tale where it could not be challenged.

The New York Times has been instrumental from the beginning in bolstering credibility for a story that has never been able to stand up to scrutiny. Today, they have published yet another rehash of the Lone Nut theory. Of course, they prominently invoke the phrase "conspiracy theorists" to dismiss those who investigate the truth of the situation. They pretend we do not know that the very term "conspiracy theory" was coined by the CIA in response to the crisis of no confidence in the Warren Commission report.

Last year, the President's personal physician came out of the woodwork to tell that there had been another bullet, and that he had seen it, that he wrote about it to the Warren Commission, that they didn't want to hear his testimony. (Read about it at WhoWhatWhy.)

James Douglass's 2008 book is the best account we have today of who really killed JFK and why.

Apologist for whom? Feel free to quote me where I've claimed we shouldn't question authority. Your black-and-white view of the world is common among certain groups of people, but obviously untrue since human society is a lot more complicated than you are trying to make it.

In this case, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of people involved in investigations be it a criminal investigation such as JFK or an accident investigation such as TWA 800. Despite the clamorings of less informed people, conspiracy theories and/or nutjobs, when so many people are involved in an investigation, there is a lot of cross-checking. The more people involved, the more difficult to cover-up any malfeasance.

I never made any such explicit claim about you. However, feel free to point to any post where YOU raise significant questions about any significant authority narrative.

This is coming from someone who just labeled all those who question authority as "Conspiracy Theory nutjobs". Hypocrisy much?

Yet the false claims/coverups are often exposed as such despite the number of people involved in official "investigations".

Search my name with the Iraq War, Vietnam, the Drug War, abortion, gay marriage and anything to do with the Feds depriving citizens of rights.

Dude, you don't have to tell lies. Anyone who claims I said "all those who question authority as "Conspiracy Theory nutjobs"" is a liar or a nutjob. Which are you?

Yes, note your own words: often exposed. Go further with that thought and tell me who revealed the information. Watergate wasn't exposed by two reporters, it was exposed by an insider talking to two reporters.

No surprise in the least.I said from the very get go Trump was no different than mass murderers Obama and Bush who both have close ties to the CIA.every president since LBJ have all given aide to Israel and Trump has very close ties to the zionists as well.Because of that I saw this coming a mile ahead shortly after he was elected.

I am afraid this article here is correct.

the release of the documents is a complete joke.

On Thursday evening, CBS News reported intelligence agents will release 2800 documents and the rest in 180 days from today. According to reports, President Trump is fuming over the delay. According to the White House, President Trump believes intelligence agencies are “not meeting the spirit of the law,” by withholding the JFK files. The decision came after the CIA gave Trump two options; delay the release until every file was certified ‘publishable,’ or risk national security by releasing unevaluated, unredacted files. President Trump selected the former.
    • notice how it says the CIA will release the 2800 documents and the rest 180 days later? plenty of time for the CIA to cover their tracks and redact them.Trump of course will not order them to do ti now and tell them that is unnacceptable of course.

I really do not understand what issue of national security is at stake that these files should not be withheld from the public nearly 55 years after JFK's death.

    Why not?

It makes sense as such documents might endanger the lives of intelligence agents still working for us

I'm addressing your post(s) here in this thread. What you posted or not in the past is irrelevant.

I'm Bob and your posts speak for themselves. Your posts strongly insinuate the above.

Read through the threads I provided the links to, the authors of the many articles, documents, videos and others I posted links to are not anonymous.

Who subsequently exposed Watergate to the world. Despite, this discussion is not about Watergate. It's about JFK, the (non-)release of those documents and the many issues surrounding the JFK assassination that WE don't know about partially because THEY (the US government) are deliberately HIDING it from US under obviously false pretenses of national security. And as a result many of US question the official narrative for GOOD REASON.

LOL. So you ask for evidence then, when it refutes your argument, you choose to ignore it. F**king awesome, dude.

Good to see you finally get something right, Bob.

Except you never posted a link to anything I asked for so my "argument" stands. There is nothing for me to ignore. Asking me to research your posts is a copout. Post an actual link that refutes my opinion about you (if you can).

No worries, dude. You are free to believe the Moon landing was a hoax, that 9/11 was an inside job and that the CIA murdered JFK. It’s a free country. :)

Almost anyone who has done any independent research believes that the government is hiding evidence regarding the JFK assassination. Why is Trump refusing to release all of the information even 54 years after the murder.

Everyone who's read the news knows the government is hiding evidence regarding the JFK assassination, they ADMIT IT. It's not conspiracy theory, it's FACT. It is however, a conspiracy to hide information from Americans, just like 9/11.

Of course, why else would some material still be classified and a lot remained classified for well over 50 years. That said, there’s a lot of territory between “the government hiding evidence” for evil reasons and hiding it AKA classifying it for national security reasons.

Obviously there are several conspiracy theory nutjobs who believe LBJ and/or the CIA murdered JFK and that’s the reason, in their opinion, why some material is still classified. Why do you think they are still “hiding” some information?

I think they have been stalling and stonewalling from the outset. It is obvious that Oswald was a patsy from the beginning and we have been lied to all along.

Not so obvious. There’s a lot of evidence against Oswald and little doubt he was involved. OTOH, whether or not he was alone is an interesting question. I strongly doubt it was the CIA, LBJ or any other governmental group involved in JFK’s assassination for the simple reason there are too many good, patriotic Americans who would have spoken up over the past 54 years revealing the truth if there were any malfeasance. So the question becomes “What would compel thousands of American patriots to remain silent for 54 years if there was, indeed, a second shooter?”

FWIW, I’ve been to Dealey Plaza. I’m an experienced military-trained expert shooting both rifle and pistol. Shooting from the sixth floor of the Book Depository is known as a deflection shot, shooting a target moving, as in this case, from left to right of the shooter. A very difficult shot, especially to hit 3-for-3 as Oswald is said to have done. When I stood at the Grassy Knoll I got an actual chill; it was the perfect place to shoot. The target was moving straight toward it and, being on a slight downhill slope, a shooter on the Grassy Knoll could shoot over the windshield directly into the backseat.

That said, is that evidence of government malfeasance? No. It does make me wonder however.

Throughout history, conspiracy and governmental malfeasance is the rule rather than the exception. Powerful people remain in power by means of conspiring against and lying to those they rule over. The Kennedy assassination is just another historical event where this basic truth is clearly demonstrated.

So as much as you seem to desperately want to believe the US government had nothing to do with the JFK assassination, your posts show you do mildly question the official narrative, congratulations. And if the official story is not true and they covered up the truth you automatically reject any possibility that LBJ or the CIA were involved, attributing the thought of any possibility strictly to "conspiracy theory nutjobs". The problem is if the official story is not true and a coverup, you really have no idea what the possibilities are but you're quick to reject any alternative theory of government involvement using the usual convenient labels. And the problem with that is that it is in fact strictly the US government and more specifically the CIA that is responsible and therefore deeply involved in the coverup. There is only one reason to coverup a crime, to protect the criminals.
