Boy Scouts of America files for bankruptcy after sex abuse lawsuits

Except you would never see the men that are committing these crimes “exchanging spit with another guy”, because they are exclusively heterosexual in their adult relationships. The men that are “exchanging spit with another guy” are statistically less likely to harm a child according to the numerous sources listed within this thread.

So banning men that are homosexual in their adult relationships is nothing but bigotry and or ignorance.
Likely a combination of the two.

 

I provided you an entire list of the leaders involved and the years they were involved.

 

I'm saying the perpetrators aren't included in the statistics.

 

I'm saddened by this. The best boss I ever had was an Eagle Scout and he was a nice guy and I'm convinced it may have been because he had been an Eagle Scout and had taken the precepts of being one to heart. He didn't go on about it a lot, in fact, I never really knew he had been one until I was about to move on but when I looked up the things an Eagle Scout was supposed to do I had to admit he did them and it made him a pleasure to work for. It's really too bad that politics has to get into everything.

 

The court ordered them to release information on cover ups dating back to 1965. So this information is being used to Levy lawsuits. The court order was issued in 2012 before they allowed gay members.

I doubt there was any change prior to or after. I haven't found any information on that.

 

Yeah he's really sad I grew up in that program, and I very much enjoyed.

But that doesn't mean that what the boy scouts did was okay. They covered up child molestation for decades. The boy scouts knew that this child molesters were there and who they were. But exposed more kids to them.

I hate to see the boy scouts die off I love the organization at least the part of it I was in. But this is Catholic Church kind of crap.

I imagine the numbers are much lower now.

Sorry sec. It wasn't caused by allowing you openly gay people to be part of scouting.

All of these lawsuits have to do with records being released by court order between 1965 and 1985.

The only reason the boy scouts are getting sued is because of their efforts to cover it up. So if anything it was heterosexual men trying to shut the victim's up.

Can't blame this one on the gays buddy.

Well even if you want to say a man molesting a boy is gay, that isn't what these lawsuits are about there about the organization covering it up.

These people are most likely heterosexual, probably exclusively, and also most likely members of churches.

 

Likely where they learned how to cover up and then lobby for protections.
