Now they've since changed the guidelines and testing manufacturers to produce more tests based on the new CDC standards. You think Trump had something to do with reducing the testing guidelines?

There are 41 deaths from coronavirus since the first death on 2-29. Average deaths in the US are at 2.9 per day, still flat hovering around 3 per day after 14 days of deaths.

Nobody under 50 has died from coronavirus in the USA.

So should we shut down the whole country to protect the elderly, particularly those already in nursing homes? Yes, they are at higher risk, they are at higher risk with ANY flu or virus. I can think of many better ways of protecting the weak and old rather than causing mass hysteria, crashing the stock market, economy, and scaring people to think they're going to die.

 

I'd love to hear Joe Biden's "plan", in addition to him saying that he would not have shut down travel from infected areas.

 

It's much easier to isolate and lock down nursing homes than to shut down the entire country. Take action on the biggest weaknesses first with more stringent travel bans and isolating nursing homes.

Our liberal Governor just shut down every school in the state of Louisiana for a month. They should have done that already since we all knew the left would go full retard over this.

 

Exactly. Cities all over the country are taking steps recommended by CDC to protect nursing homes and residential communities for the elderly. My city put those guidelines in place last week before we even had one infected case in the city. They are taking everyone's temperature who enters and leaves the facilities (visitors and staff) and taking residents' temperature regularly. Anyone with a fever over 100.2% must be reported to the state health department.
