    There's that leftist snark.

Are you suggesting we should have let him go? After 3 years of cleaning up ISIS after Obama allowed it to flourish?

This was a limited incursion (6 helo's), to cut the head off the muslim snake.

Thats a win, but in the southern hemisphere things may seen to be in reverse.

Abu Al Zarqawi (the original chief of ISIS) was killed back in 2006. I used to think these targeted strikes were big news, but then I learned that they are no indication of the ongoing conflicts actually ending.

These troops flew in on stealth helicopters that can see in the night.

Not ground troops-joint special operations forces.

You may need to read up on top tier military assets one day.

I don't give a stuff about that **********. What I am interested in is the bullshit which Trump talks. How can there be 'special forces' checking on the ground when Trump says that they had all been withdrawn many many days ago, or so he said.

From where did these 'stealth helicopters' take off? (Gawd, 'stealth helicopters.' I guess they are invisible too just like that F-35, or whatever it is.)

George Bush declared the Iraq war was over in 2003, Barack Obama declared the war in Afghanistan was over in 2014. Our presidents are liars

    Context bro.

You are actually asking better questions than the typical lefty, but you are both "informed" by the same basic and biased sources.

Not trying to confuse you-we have forces in eastern Syria guarding the oil fields (low risk), we have troops just moved from western Syria to Iraq (a few hundred).

And we have Spec ops, that go where they want, when they want-welcomed by that place or not.

A wild card if you will.

Okay...so Trump is still allowing US Troops to fight over the sand. Fair enough.

    OPSEC bro.

    Operational security.

We won't get to know that unless someone allows it.

That said, being Joint ops, the US has a hell of a navy, but could easily be from Turkey or elsewhere.

Our military prides itself on leaving you asking "how did they do that"?

    Thats the idea. Opsec.

Trump just made rapidly expanding gasses (harder than concrete) and shrapnel the last thing through the leader of ISIS's head.

    Figure it out.

Sure, or as is far more likely, the US Army is still fighting actively in Syria. Simple as that, and Trump is proven yet again to be a liar. Fine by me. I have no dog in this fight.

I have. He lied, but you watch tomorrow, he will tell us all how he saved the Planet. Gawd knows he badly needs the diversion, any diversion, including perhaps a bullshit story about some Arab leader being killed.

More than likely, from Turkey. The attack took place in northwestern Idlib. We should await more information before speculating on what happened tho.

Good thinking. Who knows, maybe it was a joint venture between Aussie and German forces.....they arrived in a right-hand drive Mercedes and beat him to death with the brooms they use in military training.

You denie the fact that USA massively supported ISIS under Obama? You called them "freedom fighters".

You supported them to topple Assad. No matter what sick **** ISIS did. USA backed them.

It was Putin, Iran and even hezbollah that did the fighting together with the Kurds. The Kurds lost over 20.000 men in that struggle.

yeah, you are so lit, that you order us to buy your gas and we denie it and build a pipeline to Russia instead.

It appears your leadership has become demented because you use your puppets against yourself.

Obviously basic military operations are a bit too complicated for you to comprehend. The best way to understand military Special Forces is to compare the military to the medical field. You have your general practitioner, (MD, medical doctor) which is the infantry (troops) then you have your specialized medical doctors such as a cardiologist, ophthalmologist, gynecologist and proctologist. They are all doctors yet each specialize in a certain field. Well, the same thing goes for SEALs, Rangers, Force Recons, Commando's, Delta, Green Beret's etc. Now to take this one step further each member of each Special Forces team has a specific specialty such as sniper, medic, communications, intel, logistics etc. Hence the name Special and the word team.

Now when you go to grandma's house for Thanksgiving and you expect Aunt Bea to make her special bean pie then you know that pie is special and there is no other anywhere in the world.

    Nobody cares about leaders.
Baghdadis brothers see him in paradise, where he's drinking non-alcoholic wine and playing with lots of virgins. Jihadism lives on.

The most glaring speculations would be about how he got there and who was offering him protection if it indeed was him. He last whereabouts and death claims were in far eastern Syria near the Iraqi border.
