that has always been known, though sadly you have to ask permission to conceal the gun, which of course is the polite way to carry a gun

concealing a gun illegal without a license
walking around gun in hand legal

No, once you sell it to someone else, then it needs a serial number.

Do you not know that you can make your own hammers and forges? You don't need commerce to make the items you need. I once saw a guy make a gun out of a trailer hitch he found.

In this regard, you are simply wrong.

As was already pointed out, and deliberately ignored on the part of yourself. United States v Butler, Helvering v Davis, South Dakota v Dole, all specified that the "general welfare clause" applies exclusively to matters of taxation and funding, and nothing else.

did not know it was a crime to have it unconcealed in hand in public, so the law says has to be in a holster? what about a rifle held in hand pointing over shoulder?

I know it could make people around them nervous, and it's polite to conceal

In my state, on that has always had open carry, carrying in a holster wasn’t required, except in a vehicle. For CCW for a period it was required, but no longer.
A rifle could be carried any fashion.
However, in the last couple years, some anti gun types have taken to harassment, calling police if they catch sight of a gun. A dangereous thing if the gun owner or rookie cop muck up an encounter.
I suspect, if carried in the hand, there will be those that call police and cry brandishing.
While my state is open carry, I prefer to carry mine concealed, preferring no one, including a bad one, knowing I have a gun.

When carried in your hand it could be construed to be displaying in a "threatening manner", depending on which hand you choose to point with. Which is illegal.

    http://lawcenter.giffords.org/gun-laws/state-law/50-state-summaries/open-carry-state-by-state/

    Less threatening in a holster.

yes, I know, remember the guy with a bb gun that the cops shot to death at the hotel - I would be scared to carry a gun unconcealed for fear a cop or someone wanting to be a hero might shot me too death

You will never get a straight answer to that question.

There are many members on this board who don't wish to have a discussion in good faith. They are essentially trolls.

How did they reject it 7-2 when 8 were only on the Court?

As soon as Kavanaugh is there Roberts will proceed knowing the Libs on the Court wont be able to block with a 4-4 tie. Consider it a losing issue for the leftness going forward.

The lefts headgames with the court all comes to an end. Hows that feel to know you your kind wont have **** coming for the next 50 years or more.

wont matter, they can raise the seats to what ever they want, then fill them with the 50 vote rule the republicans created

republicans changed the game, they were short sighted

It was the democrat party that ultimately changed the rules by implementing the so-called "nuclear option" to require only a simple majority for judicial appointments, outside those of the united state supreme court. When the republican party once again gained control, they simply pushed the so-called "nuclear option" to its logical conclusion. Had the democrat party held office longer, they would have done the same, but they would have done it first.

The Repubs didn't create it....that was the Demos. It was the Demos that broke the rule of the Senate. Not the Repubs.

Good luck in 50 years in trying to raise the seats to whatever they want.

that is a lie, republicans changed the rules on SC picks to 50 votes, that was 100% republican doing, now dems will be able to use the republicans change to their advantage when they take power

    republicans were very short sighted

And the democrats set the precedent by changing the senate rules for all confirmations up to those of the united state supreme court. Had they not set the precedent by doing it first, this mess would not currently be had in the united states.

repubs were able to use the change dems made when they gained power

dems will be able to use this new change republicans created for SC picks when they regain power

    both were short sighted thinking

I said as much when dems made their change, and say the same about the current republican change

None of which changes the fact that the republican party did not actually start anything.

they were the one that made this change to SC picks, I did not support the dems change then and I do not support the repus change now

that said, I support republicans using the dems change now that they are in power

and I will support the dems using the republicans change when they are in power

both parties were short sighted in their changes

the only thing that will fix this going forward is a constitutional amendment requiring 2\3 majority for all judges, as it means nothing if the party in power can just change the rules on the whim
