The UN reached an agreement, but israelis DO NOT WANT PEACE.

Do you actually believe that one person, will represent islamist after the 70 yrs of oppression by a rogue nation that will not agree to anything but zionism?

The only thing that will enable peace, is israel backing up otherwise we are heading into ww3.

But if Buddhists already lived in the northern 1/2 of Italy, paid for it, were born on it, developed its uninhabited swamplands into beautiful farmland, and Catholics the South, and all borders in Europe were fake, and someone in authority said, OK, Catholics get a new nation in the South, Buddhists the north, and Catholics in Scotland and Catholics in Ireland and Poland all ganged up to destroy the new Buddhist state, writing that this has nothing to do with Catholicism sounds silly. I'll still check out more of the links. Regardless, the stuff (you?) and the other fellow left are interesting reading and at least represent someone's viewpoint.

You must bear in mind that the indigenous Palestinian jews were a minority and that the Palestinian arabs did not live in a ' wilderness' which jews turned into productive land.

    http://lawrenceofcyberia.blogs.com/news/2010/03/palestinians-made-the-desert-bloom.html
    EXAMPLE;
When the winners of WW2 divided up Palestine into two regions they ascribed the larger portion by far to ' the jews ' because they expected a huge influx of European Zionists. How would you like your own country treated in such a cavalier fashion ? The very idea of carving up Palestine to suit some European concept of ' Zion ' was, and is, anathema to any fair-minded person.
Now, I don't know what you've been reading but it sounds like Zionist propaganda to me. Concentrate on the one deception- that the Zionists ' made the desert bloom '- and you'll surely start to realise that you've been hoodwinked. Good luck.

It is a massive subject but it sounds like you have been given the myths. I agree with Moon, it is not about religion, it is about land. Palestinian Christians are Palestinians just the same as Muslims are. Read the second link I gave you and you will see that. It is certainly not Christians and Muslims against Jews, so although it has been hyped as a religious war this is not the case. It is about land and a dispossessed people.

Now as you have clearly come across a number of myths, I thought you might be interested to read them being debunked. Without the truth, how can we find a solution to the problem. That, I have come to believe is the major stumbling block to resolving these issues

As Ilan Pappé, professor with the College of Social Sciences and International Studies at Exeter University, UK says

you will find the myths here http://www.cjpme.org/DisplayDocument.aspx?DocumentID=2467&

    - - - Updated - - -

Really the UK ran out on the Palestinians because it was almost bankrupt after WW2 and could not stand the Jewish terrorism.

    You're simply not going to believe the brass neck of this soapbox neoZionist ********;

Seeking to destroy any hope of peace by continuing to build illegal squats the fascist, Netanyahu, accuses the Palestinians of insincerity because they have complained about it.

They have enjoyed this nose-thumbing for far too long under the blanket support of Washington Zionists.

He is complaining about this http://www.stuff.co.nz/world/middle-east/8981283/Abbas-plans-Israel-free-Palestine and a song before a Barcelona football team - grabbing at straws but they have got away with it before.

The US has to show it's impartiality or maybe say it made a mistake asking for talks and we can get on with World BDS and get this sorted.

I have always believed that on a global level, "money talks and bull sh*t walks". Israel will always be able to buy or sell whatever she wants to. We need only look at the most evil country on the planet - Russia. She will sell anything to anyone. She does not care if Assad is a butcher - his gold is shiny. Israel will never stop doing business with USA and USA is the biggest economy on the planet. I am not worried about Israel being isolated from the EU. Won't happen. But I do agree with you on one thing - this will be a One-State Solution. And the sooner the pallies realize that, the sooner they can move to Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria and start new lives instead of living in tent villages fantasizing about having their own country and a government run by Hamas.

We do not need to be impartial. Israel is our greatest ally in the world and we love her. But yeah - we have to stop getting our noses stuck in other people's business and in that regard we keep making the exact same huge mistake over and over again. USA is like Pavlov's Dog sometimes. We should just say "Israel - do whatever it is you are going to do".

You are forgetting that that is the position the US has taken. Of course no one needs to do anything, but such results in lack of credibility. I read that Abbas was cajoled into peace talks with a) the threat of losing US money if they don't and b) the talk of masses of it if she does. As you will know the Palestinians wanted Israel to agree to 67 borders and no settlement construction during the 9 months of these talks. On this the PA was told the US would deal with that.

The US needs to or be shown not to keep it's word.

she is not your greatest ally. After 9/11 to the consternation of many of the British people, the UK has been. It is our boys that gave their lives for you.

You love her right or wrong. Don't transfer your views onto the whole of the US.

You only know one side. It is also known that when the voice of public opinion becomes loud enough, States need to listen. That time has come for the Palestinians. Enough people have become aware of what is going on. Heck they even have Israeli Jewish supporters as well as plenty of Jewish supporters in the UK. It basically, as Ilan Pappe says is about morality.

Israel has reached that stage as South Africa did where world opinion says enough. The US just like with SA is way behind everyone else but it is moving.

Here you are being honest and Bennet and many more in Israel says the same which is why these talks really are the biggest pretense I can remember and why no one has any hope for them.

Unfortunately for your wishes the result will not be what you wish. It will be one state for all her people. How much that needs to hurt possibly depends on people like yourself.

Israel has stopped settlement building in the West Bank for years.

now that they are about to start peace talks again, they restart building settlements in the West Bank?

maybe the Palestinians should re-start terror attacks, see how the Israelis feel about it

It is unbelievable Moon. There has been no talks for two years because of settlement building and once talks are announced Israel falls over herself announcing settlement building. No one is taking them seriously. They're beginning to make Kerry look a fool.

Well no, that is what Israel is wanting. The Palestinians should just keep cool and things will work out in their favour.

I gave up on peace talks decades ago. Even if the principals would like a settlement (which I doubt very much), the red necks on either side are not going to let it happen. Entire industries have sprung up over Israel/Palestine hate. They LOVE it.

Jordan hashemite family are the 'chosen ones' that hold the Dome of the Rock.

Jordan dynasty bolsters religious role in Jerusalem

    08 Nov 2006 18:04:18 GMT

    By Suleiman al-Khalidi

AMMAN, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Jordan's King Abdullah watched intently during a presentation of plans for the construction of a new minaret near the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.

He was told the minaret -- the first structure to be built in over 600 years at Islam's third holiest shrine -- would feature the engraving of a seven-point Hashemite star, like the one on the kingdom's flag.

"The preservation of Islamic sanctities is a responsibility that I have been bequeathed and I will continue to shoulder in the footsteps of my forefathers," the king told senior clerics, who also attended the presentation in the Jordanian capital.

The Hashemite ruling clan of Jordan has acted as custodian of the Muslim shrines of Jerusalem since the British mandate of Palestine in the early 20th century.

The family kept this role in the divided holy city even after Jordan lost East Jerusalem and the West Bank to Israel in a 1967 war

So no holee of holees for the bigot whos?
