Too many from certain parts of the world. It's not Norwegians or French or Spanish or Portuguese or Irish migrants or their descendants causing mayhem in British cities this last week. You can't just bring third world migrants into the civilised world and expect them to behave like fully developed human beings overnight. This is the stupidity of left-wing thinking. They don't understand that all people are not born the same. If stupid parents breed then their child will probably turn out stupid too. If athletes breed their child will probably be a good athlete. Many people of African decent have not been bred to live in the way people in the West live. The only people losing jobs to migrants are the rebellious youth who feel that menial labor isn't "worth the trouble." Migrants don't have a prejudice against menial labor. As long as poor native UKers refuse to accept menial labor as their lot in life, and shirk their civic responsibilities to seek, find and sustain gainful employment, regardless of wage. Britain is build on immigrates. From the Romans to the Angel-Saxons, Normans and Norsemen, South East Asians and West Indies to the recent welcoming of Eastern Europeans. While we Brits ourselves have ex-pats in almost every country around the world. If it was not for immigrates, we would not have an English language. We would not have Christianity. Because we think enough's enough? As you say some of us Brits would rather sit and live on social benefits. More of us Brits would rather not pay them to do that. Let's try that approach or at least move in that direction, then see if we need more immigrants to do the menial work. The immigrants I've met are just as fed up with their taxes funding the idle lifestyles of these people as the rest of us are. With a smaller labour pool, employers would be forced to pay their staff living wages. Alternatively, if Scotland votes to leave the UK, it can take all the immigrants it wants.
