Everyone has the ability to marry anyone they want - as long as they are of the same religion.... Sorry, that doesn't work.
Who are you that you believe you should have the say in somoene else's union?

More Republican Politicians Caught In Bathroom Sexual Misconduct Than Trans People
Church More Dangerous For Kids Than Transgender Bathrooms

None of the above has any mainstream means to legalization.

I guess the end game is equality? The same rights you have.

You oppose same-sex marriage, fine. You are the only one trying to force your beliefs onto others. If an American, tax-paying woman falls in love with another woman and wants to enjoy the same benefits of marriage you enjoy, how does that affect your view of marriage? It doesn't! You are still welcome to find it unacceptable. Besides, the word you are fighting to defend no longer means "til death do we part" It is nothing more than a business transaction.

The argument that accepting gay marriage will lead to accepting crimes against children or (Insert fallacy here) is as weak as it gets. Religion

Getting back to being a sexual deviant, why have you avoided my question about you ever receiving oral pleasure from a woman or having sex outside of marriage? Are you afraid that you will have to admit to being a hypocrite?

Now I have the ability to marry anybody of either sex of the proper age who will have me. Every heterosexual has exactly the same right. It's just now you get a choice, meaning liberty.

No they aren't. You can feel superior to homos all you want. Nothing could possibly stop you. It's just that the government is forced to treat them equally. As they should.

I am against the bathroom crap

To halt this, it simply requires people to have a back bone. The only reason the leftists have run over you is because you let them.
Right. You simply letting it happen just to say "I told you so." Makes you just as bad. 2% of the population can't stop this. So looking to the gays to stop it is foolish on your part.

Their end game is the complete annihilating of your ideology. Whatever it is, if you don't like it they will force it upon you right wrong or indifferent morality is expendable. Ends justify means. They will even fall on grenades to end you.

How can you not know what you are up against?

"Oral sex, masturbation and orgasms need to be taught in education. The only way to combat heterosexism and gender conformity is comprehensive sex education. Gender identity expression and sexual orientation are a spectrum and those opposed to homosexuality are stuck in a binary box that religion and family create" NEA spokeswoman Diane Schneider.

This argument is just as invalid as "I have the right to marry any person of the same race who will have me. Every black person has exactly the same right"

Which is why Virginia lost and why your side lost obergfell.

You're entitled to your opinion. As far as I'm concerned, his demise has made the world a better place, and I'd be smiling from ear to ear if his spiritual kin would follow his example before the week is out.

No, they are now compelled under color of law to respect the wrongs of others.

It's not about "rights". If it was about rights, then the rights of the Christian would be respected. It's about submission.

Nope, much more valid. Race has no bearing whatsoever on a persons ability to procreate, to form a family. The wellbeing of children born to interracial couples benefit from both their mother and father in the home, to the same extent as children of same race parents. On the other hand the sex of the two individuals, has a direct bearing on both.
And also because purifying the white race isn't a legitimate governmental interest while improving the wellbeing of children is such an interest.

If you believe homosexuality to be wrong, then you are entitled to your opinion. You are not being forced to change it and your opinion should not be forced onto others by way of refusing services or employment. Don't forget that you are just as guilty, unless you would like to claim that you have never had sex outside of marriage or had a BJ.

The rights of Christians are respected as they should be. A business may not legally refuse services or employment based on ones religious beliefs. You may believe that a burning bush was able to speak and I may believe that you are stupid for believing such crap, but I wouldn't deny you services based on your beliefs. That is not justice.

You are confusing respect with superiority. I respect Christians as people and its time they learned to show the same.

The law is a funny thing. They can be changed from day to day. Christians have the Constitutional right to refuse to do business concerning homosexual marriage, and y'all are going to find that out as soon as we get the Supreme Court fixed. Walk into a store without a shirt or shoes and find out how fast you're denied services.

Nobody has infringed on that right. Nobody has a right to a business though.

nope, not valid. As the ability to procreate is completely irrelevant to marriage.
which would be fascinating if procreation were at all relevant to who can marry.
but the interest served is required in the denial of a right, not the inclusion of one. it's basic constitutional law, and we all know how you struggle with it.

You are confused. Denying service for no shoes and no shirt is not an issue. Requiring a dinner jacket at high end restaurants is protected. Those rules apply to ALL customers regardless of their beliefs. You may be right about the SCOTUS changing the laws and that Christian business owners may enjoy legal protection from discrimination while denying it to others. Just keep in mind that its that kind of overreach that got Trump elected in the first place. If he attacks gay marriage, equal rights, or abortion rights, he will hand an easy victory back to the democrats and we will be right back in Obamaville.

I have a question for Christian business owners. Is it better for your business to sell a cake to a homosexual every now and then, or would you prefer the Dems back in power?

Homosexual marriage isn't a constitutional right. It's an invented right by five lawyers. Marriage laws are a state issue. This ruling was an overreach. I agree with the four dissenting justices.

The case isn't about selling a cake to a homosexual. That's what the homosexual mafia wants everyone to believe.

Ruth doesn't look well. The only way to remove her is through impeachment as unlike with the POTUS, there is nothing in the Constitution which discusses the incapacitation of a justice.

In any event, the Trump pick for Scotus will restore the Constitution and the special accords now offered for those who live the gay lifestyle will be removed as it is discriminatory to everyone who doesn't have gay sex.

Trump is going to appoint one immediately, probably at least two more in his term. The left is vewy vewy nervous, as Elmer Fudd would say.

Not at all. When someone feels that their beliefs are superior to others and desires preference under the law, it is a fair argument to point out hypocrisy. Your claim that homosexuality or gay marriage is wrong is nothing more than you saying it is wrong. It doesn't matter if a burning bush told you so; it is still just an opinion. The topic we are discussing is whether we should allow tax paying Americans to be discriminated against for their beliefs that have ZERO affect on you and yours.

There are laws on the books against fornication and sodomy. You are guilty of those crimes. Do those laws still have a place in today's society? I don't think so.

On this issue, you are in no position to throw the first stone.

If the gay marriage issue is that important to you, keep up the fight. The liberals need people like you to get them back into power.

Wrong. I'm saying the ruling on homosexual marriage is unconstitutional. Four Supreme Court justices agree with me. Your emotional hyperbole is meaningless. Anything else?

I am not trying to change your mind and I don't think our discussion will be considered when decisions are made. Please understand that I am extremely grateful we don't have Hillary for president and at the same time, I am extremely nervous that the dems will get an easy victory in 4 years. I live in California and have seen the damage liberals can cause when they hold power. After taxes, I keep less than half. My insurance for my family of 5 went up 100% and my second amendment rights have been severely trampled on.

I fear that attacking gay marriage and abortion will tip the scales in the wrong direction. If you feel that you don't need independent votes, then keep up the fight.

Obviously, but it's not a matter of opinion.

I'm not the issue. The issue is people who are being forced to change it - or at least to act as if their belief is worthless, which amounts to the same thing.

There's no way for a business owner to accomplish this...

    ...merely by doing this.

Maybe so and maybe not, but it has no bearing on the point of contention either way.

Sure it is, if for some unaccountable reason your definition of the term includes ad homs.

No, it's also bearing witness to an objective truth.

    No it isn't.

Being gay was clearly the least of this guy's problems. No, nudity laws aren't discriminatory, but they're overly puritanical. I'd probably draw the line at sitting on public seats though.
