Imagine that. Intentionally excluding people based on race, sex, and lack of mental illness isn't legal. Shocker, right?

Now we just need someone to sue the Brandon Administration for its illegal exclusion of all non-black and non-female (don't worry I consulted a biologist prior to making this thread) from the SCOTUS nominee process. Hateful progs need to hear this message loud and clear: Bigotry will not be tolerated.

Californians don't care. They will churn out stupid laws faster than the courts can strike them down.

The fallout is interesting as well. Companies wont have to quota their boards anymore but what do they do if they've already seated checkbox people? If they were to fire these affirmative action hires then a lawsuit could argued that the people were only hired in the first place because of the 'diversity' law and therefore firing them would also be on the grounds of race. So a law that made discrimination temporary 'legal' could become the basis for a damned discrimination lawsuit. Its insanity!

Buy them off. It is what boardrooms are for. They are all in it for the money.

    Good
That violates the state’s constitutional equal protection clause.

    Good for the judge.

Good, these are private businesses legistators have no right to dictate to them who will or will not serve on their boards and how they run their companies especially when it discriminates against individuals based on race or sex.

What if they said they can’t require vaccines? Then it would be ok to tell them how to run their companies, right?
This doesn’t discriminate against anyone, I assume the ruling will be appealed.

Do you understand the concept of a "protected class", or do we need to explain it to you?

Of course it does. It could have been accurately titled the "it's now required to discriminate against white guys" law, or the "we don't want any more Caucasian males" law.

They should say that but they won't. They'll pull the "for the safety of the workers" card.

This "New Discrimination" by the left is an absolute disgrace and they should be ashamed of themselves.

You understand that discrimination doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing proposition, right? I can't say, "well, we hired one black guy and one woman, so that means we weren't discriminating against any blacks or women". You get that, right? It would still be racial / sexual discrimination if you just artificially reduce the rate of hiring of people in those protected classes on the basis of race or gender. You don't have to completely eliminate hiring them for it to count as discrimination.

Yes indeed but we should be ashamed of ourselves as well. How did progs ever get this far? They build nothing, they create nothing, they contribute nothing - positive that is. Yet they have great power. Why? How did they get it? Because we gave it to them. We got fat and lazy and forgot what strength looked like. The strength to build America, and the strength to defend it. We forgot that the cancerous enemy of Marxist communism was still out there and as a result it got in and it festered and like a cancer it spread and every inch it claimed was met with little to no resistance. We gave away America. We should be ashamed.

A board that is 90% white men is not discriminating against white men. That’s a ridiculous proposition.

No, it's a fact when they have special set-aside seats for 'anyone but a white man' written into law.

You clearly don't understand what "on-topic" means. This thread has nothing to do with Texas or abortion. It's about California's government-required racism and sexism.

What does that have to do with race or gender? If it is required to hire a person of one race then persons of other races are being discriminated against.

A 90% white male board is not discriminating against white males.
You made the point that they shouldn’t tell them how to run their business. I’m asking if that applies to states who outlawed requiring a vaccine

If it is decreed by race or gender who will be hired it discriminates against those not of that race or gender. The vaccination is not about who they hire based race or gender it is about forcing someone to do something, a private health matter, in order to be hired. And BTW the Florida law does not ban such mandates it simple says certain exemptions based on employee rights must be offered.

Now back to what I said.
"how they run their companies especially when it discriminates against individuals based on race or sex."
