the people that found the coins owe 40% + of it in taxes to the fed and the state of calif..due this april 15th..to avoid added penalties ..taxes a re due the year it was found which was april of 2013 so taxes due this april..they should have kept their mouth shut...

 

how are they going to sell them without opening their mouth?

the answer is, they can't, your way leads to potential arrest or robbery and death

playing on the up and up, gets them several million dollars

 

This is a windfall- basically his advice is that they should break the law, not report the income and hope they are never caught- rather than legally obtaining millions of dollars.

Well, this may be only a little more on topic....but when I read about this couple I thought about all my searches with my little metal detector and the rusty spoons and dimes I uncovered.....DIMES %#@*!(%! dimes...all that work and this couple just picks it out of the ground ..GRRRRR!!!
