Can liberals stimulate the economy?

Now you know why I subscribe to a liberal version of supply side economics that merely claims, it should be supplying us with better governance at lower cost.

In my opinion, providing for the common defense and general welfare is not the problem; but, providing for the general warfare and any common offense is a problem, especially on a longitudinal basis.

I agree that the general government should be fixing Standards for the Union and paying the debts of any States implementing those federal Standards.

 

Could you please give some examples regarding Standards for the Union? I don't understand the concept of setting standards and then funding states to implement standards?

Corporations have the highest profits in the world and many have not paid taxes in years. This while many of its wealthy stock holders shelter their income in overseas tax free accounts.

 

Usually, the several States merely complain about unfunded mandates.
