So it is OK for you if a president directs taxpayer money into his own pocket?

You really don't care about the self-dealing aspect? Or do you just ignore it because you love Trump? You keep ignoring the fact that ANY OTHER FEDERAL EMPLOYEE would be in prison for doing what Trump does.

Edit - so, for example, if Bloomberg becomes president, you will have no problem if he requires all federal agencies that use market data to subscribe to Bloomberg? After all, they need market data and they have to get it from somewhere.

Given Trump's behavior for the last 30 years, this is consistent. He was raised by the mob, and lives his life accordingly, pardoning war criminals.

didn't vote for him, don't love him, I want his thumbs removed, my guy came in 3rd place.

Slim chance i'll go 3rd party this time around, so its up to the dem's to sell me on their nominee, I have plenty of time to make a decision.

If Micheal Bloomerg won and wanted to spend time in one of his seven homes yes the SS would have a detail protecting him.. Even if he decides to get a few rounds in ~

It isn't about that. It is about the president directing taxpayer money towards his own business.

Is that OK or not? Yes or no.

well, at least agree that the choices were terrible in 16' (virtual high 5)

2020 is an unknown at this point because I have no idea who the dem's will nominate, my state has a closed primary so I don't get to participate in that decision. I'm a political junkie so i'll give whoever that person is due consideration then make my decision. If its a progressive that decision probably won't take very long. We have no senators up for grabs so i'll focus on my house rep and local stuff, I doubt i'll have to ponder very long on potus, might not even have to bother with the debates, the decision could be that easy.

No matter who wins they will likely spend more than I prefer and do things that I don't like either personality or policy wise and i'll just muddle through it like I always do.

I think Democrats i. 2020 are better than Hillary but only for one reason.

They aren't as well connected as thr Clintons. Clinton was a radical leftist with the connections to make things happen and that would have been horrible for the country. The current dems don't have that, and though their policies are worse. They'd be less capable of carrying them out.

Why in f*** would he feed them???!!! They make a salary and would be receiving per diem. But yeah if it's his house and the SS is protecting him on tax payer behalf I would absolutely expect bloomberg to NOT charge room and board!

Potential doesn't cut it. If you have info on Trump charging full price and pocketing it, post it.

It doesn't ****ing matter if he is charging full price. If his business is charging ANYTHING he is self-dealing. Anything. Any other federal employee would be in prison for doing what he does, but you guys don't care.

    It's shocking.

    A few things.

    1. It is DOJ policy that a sitting president can't be charged.
    2. POTUS and the VP have an exemption from the corruption laws. That doesn't mean that he isn't acting corruptly - just that he can't be indicted for doing the things that would land any other federal employee in prison.

It is still corruption. But for some reason Congress has said POTUS can't be indicted for corruption. That doesn't remove the corruption, just the ability to send him to prison for his corruption.

No, it isn't "nothing". In this thread I have cited the law that would put any other federal employee behind bars for what Trump is doing. Seriously - behind bars.

If you think that is "nothing" you have really drunk the Kool Aid.

Why do you think it is OK for Trump to act corruptly, in a way that would land any other federal employee in prison? Can you answer that?

Yes you did say that. If you had info putting this money into Trumps pocket, you wouldn't have to resort to cheap insults. I am not a Trump supported or even a Republican. There are 545 corrupt politicians who will abuse their office for personal gain. It doesn't matter if there is a D or an R by their name.

I am sorry to have triggered you.
