]When the Anti Christ comes these people will make up his army to fight against God and his angels and will be repeating that the anti Christ was sent here by God for a good reason. It will be the born again evangelical army of the Devil. Their flag will try to sell the fact that they are blessed by God to do his bidding.
    YOU DECIDE--------------1 Timothy 3:1-5

The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church?

Get the log out of your eye before you condemn another for having a splinter in theirs.

What kind of salvation theology involves Donald Trump?

If only the rejection of racism, pettiness, spite, and corruption was an actual official religion instead of pretend Christianity.

Are you suggesting -now- that Christians vote based on their religious beleifs? Back when Bush was in, that was cited as the cause of his election, with much disdain for the practice by you leftys who then claimed that political choice should not be religiously based.

Theres really no history or consistancy with you guys is there? Just whatever narrative fits the current fad...

Leftists think if they don't like something it must be a sin or a crime. What a bunch of judgemental old ladies.

Of course the religious nuts voted for him based on their religious beliefs. Just watch any TV preacher. They are aware that Trump is scum, but they are convinced that God put him in the presidency anyway because, and I quote, "God uses flawed people to work his will". Trump promised from the start to do all he could to eliminate legal abortions, and to make sure businesses owned by religious people wouldn't have to follow the laws everybody else has to follow. They know he will say and do disgusting things, but they feel that if God can put up with his crap and still make him do what they want, then they can put up with him too. This isn't just something I think, it's what several separate religious nuts have told me..

Of course you can. Being a Christian is no harder than deciding to be a Christian. It's not an exclusive club. You just decide that you're a Christian and BAM, you are one. You just "interpret" your way around any of the parts of the bible that you may be going against like folks have done for hundreds of years. Same goes for all religions. These are not accredited structured things. Being a part of a church might be, but not being a follower of a religion.

The Pauline epistles do not come from Jesus and in many cases conflict with the teachings of Jesus. This is problem number 1.
Timothy was not even written by Paul .. problem number 2.

While your list perhaps represents some good traits that a leader should have, it misses the the main teaching of Jesus = The Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have done to you/ treat others as you would be treated. Matt 7:12.

Jesus states that this is the rule that "sums up the law and the Prophets".

Regardless of a leaders flaws - or lack of flaws - the above is the dividing line for whether one is a follower of Christ. Either one gets this rule or one does not.

Perhaps a more appropriate question would be "Can you have voted for any politician and still be a Christian?"
I've yet to have seen any politician I could agree with 100%, which has left me with only the options of voting for the one I agree with more, or against the one I agree with least.

Or a practicing one, more to the point. Trump's actions and words do not fall in step with Christianity. To be a Christian is to be Christ like - that involves loving one's neighbor, not lying, not stealing.

Nonsense many presidents have loved God and tried to do right by him, even a few of the people who think that the wealthy like themselves deserve it all/
