They are going down this road because donald trump is an unfit president who has committed high crimes and misdemeanors. Eric Ciaramella (Fake Whistleblower) is not given immunity except withing the DoJ by the IG. Congress nor the Press are bound to afford him any immunity whatsoever by statute. The guy absolutely consulted with Adam Schiff's office who hired his best friend 1 day after the Trump/Ukraine call. This is all a Deep State scam run by the Democrats.

 

It's hilarious that today the Democrats are putting up all NON FACT testimonies, they are not even "Witnesses" as they witnessed NOTHING. Democrats think the rest of Americans are as stupid as their supporters.

 

If the Dems under Pelosi actually are stupid enough to vote for and ram impeachment down this nation's throat then cross examining Senators are going to destroy those whistle blowers and the representatives they colluded with. The Dem Party's leadership has got to know that this is going to happen. They have got nothing on Trump but cross examining Senators will thereafter have a ton of stuff on them. Nobody said anything about "anyone." The thread and the post is about congressional committees. I will not regret congress being made to stay within their constitutional power. Congress can investigate the president to a limited degree -- limited to only constitutional impeachment inquiries. They cannot compel testimony from the president nor his advisors. They cannot conduct criminal investigations of the president.

You got that right. Can you imagine what Ted Cruz would do to Adam Schiff (material witness), Eric Ciaramella (Fake Whistle Blower). Also, Trey Gowdy has been hired by President Trump to be his lawyer in the Senate. It's going to be a slaughter of the Democrats. I think it is why you had people like Eric Swalwell backing away from Impeachment yesterday. They know they are about to be publicly destroyed. As boring as the Democrats House Committee hearings have been, the Senate trial is going to be pure gold for the President, ratings, and all Republicans running for Congress/Senate.

Exactly so and thus in a way it would be best for Trump if the anti-ethical House leftists did impeach him because -- just as you pointed out -- the Right has got senators who cut their teeth as prosecutors . . . and unlike Kamala, they didn't get their positions by sinking to their knees. They actually legitimately earned their prosecutor's battle stripes.

The greatest debate among some few real thinkers on the Left is whether or not the lunatics playing politics on the Left in the House are collectively stupid enough to actually put their political heads on the chopping block for the Right held Senate to start winnowing through.

 

I still think the House will not send articles of impeachment to the senate. I think it is their worst 2020 campaign strategy. But Pelosi might have painted herself into a corner she can't get out of, so I could be wrong.
