Actually, I'm guessing that it is not within the rules of engagement to shoot someone with a taser when they are already down on the ground.

 

It might have been a case of excessive force, but it was certainly not police brutality.

 

Depends on what she did to that officer. You don't know what she did but I can tell you well-behaved children don't get put on the ground by policemen. Who knows one day she might learn to behave herself in public.

 

I wish folks would quit trying to make excuses for the actions of feral youth.

It's not against the rules to zap someone until they stop resisting, on the ground or not. Tasers can be used like a stun gun without firing the darts. A few good jolts would have gotten her under control quickly.

 

My wish for Black folks is they would simply not resist arrest.

We did have beach girl recently and she has been charged with attacking to police.

Could it be she did more than call him a name? If she had obeyed the police and left she wouldn't have been punched. You know recognizing authority and obeying.

 

You are a policeman? Then you should know what can happen with belligerent youths, no matter their color. If the parents were held accountable you can bet there would be more respect shown to policemen and not so much juvenile delinquency.

I don't know I'm trying to figure out this assertion you are making to try and defend blacks who resist arrest.

 

Of course they do and get their butts kicked for resisting too. It's a matter of economics. I met a guy running for Sheriff of my county at a meet and greet at a friends home. He told us the total cost to keep a Deputy on the street, for everything......training, pension and all equipment plus salary is $171 an hour. With the taxes we pay for their services, I want them to finish up each call quickly and move on to the next. If an arrestee doesn't want to go into custody, I want them to use what ever force necessary to get him/her on his/her way to jail and move on to the next call. I certainly don't want deputies costing $171 an hour standing around for an hour asking an arrestee pretty please get in the back of the car. I could care less if the person is White, Black, Latino, Asian or Native American. I don't care how they do it, tase 'em, let the dog bite 'em or pepper spray 'em, just get 'em into custody quickly and move on to the next call. You pay taxes for them too, do you want that kind of waste because someone wants to resist the cops?

 

More whites are killed by the Police than Blacks.
