Obama created the game in wrong arrangement. Trump is not responsible for it.
Turkey was attacked by ISIS more than any other European countries,Obama could fight against ISIS with effective Turkish cooperation. But he chose PKK/YPG that saw fighting against ISIS as an opportunity to create Kurdish region. Then Turkey started fight against YPG along with ISIS.

This is what Obama have done!

Oh sure, we could have put 1000 troops on the line and used them as human shields. You're mighty brave with other people's lives.

Why didn't you send some Canadians to come stand on the line and see if Erdogan was bluffing?

We shouldn't be there at all, and the only reason we are is because of OBAMA's failure over the course of 7 years.

The Kurds were allies of opportunity, and NOT ALL KURDS ARE THE SAME.

Considering that they were already there prior to the invasion, and Turkey wouldn't have invaded had the US not pulled back, then the point is moot.

Sure. Too bad i'm not PM.

Sure. Hindsight is 20/20. But you are there now, so dwelling on the past in this instance is another moot point. You don't leave your allies to die. Simple as that.

No sh*t sherlock. But they were still allies. Now there is no reason for anyone to ally with the US in geopolitical affairs.

    From your link.

On 6 October 2019, the Trump administrationordered American troops to withdraw from northeastern Syria, where the United States had been supporting its Kurdish allies.[44] The military operation began on 9 October 2019 when the Turkish Air Force launched airstrikes on bordertowns.[45] The conflict resulted in the displacement of over 130,000 people and has caused the death of several civilians.”

You don't know what he would have done.

You are asking the POTUS to risk war with another NATO country, getting 1000 of our troops killed and not being able to stop it anyway, in a country we don't even have a SOFA with to be there in the first place, for a group of people that aren't even a country and have no formal government.

By all means, send thousands of Canadians to come stand on the line of death and show us how it's done. You could always volunteer.

They were allies in terms of the mutual goal of taking out ISIS. We had similar objectives in mind for different reasons and cooperated towards that goal. They are not our damn blood brothers with centuries of historical precedence of coming to save each other.

In much the same way we were allies with the "mujaheddin", who later became Al Qaeda. Enemy of my enemy being my friend does not mean "allies".

There was no official alliance. They're not even a country.

And AGAIN, just because they're Kurds does not mean all factions are the same. Do Canadians and Americans have opposing groups? Terror groups in those groups?

Congress could have declared war. The UN could have done something. NATO could have done something. EU and other countries could have done something.

Reality? They did jack ****, and now all they want to do is complain about how the only guy willing to deal with the Kobiashi Maru stood the **** up and handled it as best he could.

Congress bipartisanly condemned Trumps actions.......so off go Pence and Pompeo.
Not NATO's problem. What were they supposed to do? Attack Turkey?
UN always moves slowly and the US probably would veto in the Security Council
    EU? Not their problem
What did the rest of the humans do? Well, when Trump did what he did there was a collective WTF IS WITH THAT GUY!!!
Who fixed it? Remains to be seen. Who caused it? Trump so hold off on the back slaps, it looks ridiculous.

    Trump is a peace maker.

Peace and prosperity is his message.

He just made the rest of DC look like fools yet again.

    More geniusery.

Yeah, Congress whined about Trump and did nothing as usual. Who has the power to authorize more than short term military action again? Oh yeah. Congress.

"Not NATO's problem that a NATO country was rolling into possible aggression with another NATO country" smdh

"UN moves slowly" Yes, we know they're useless, that was my point.

Not the EU's problem? It's not ours either.

Yes, as usual, the rest of the people ran from responsibility and cried about the only person trying to fix the problem.

    Useless. ass. whiny. critics.

Back before the U.S. military was used for social engineering and the military was still politically incorrect and were in the war busines, we had C-Rations.

Can you picture Congress passing legislation that smoking on the battlefield was against the law and violated the UCMJ ?

I'm sure it's already on the Hill.

    C-Rations...Vietnam War era.

The answer to the invasion was sanctions which also became the carrot for the ceasefire. The two diplomatic stalwarts had ammunition to work with. Thank you Mr President.

This guy opens up and eats vintage MRE's/c rations, and then smokes the cigarettes that come in them.

Trump sacrificed hundreds of Kurds and then cleaned up half the crap he left on his own floor - and he snuck out of service by pretending bone spurs .... so shove your righteous indignation, it smells as bad as this Trump created mess.

Moronic reply on your part. There wasn't a war until Trump pulled the US troops on short notice. And I'm sure the Kurds think your post is pure, unadulterated bull crap.
