Exactly and well said Sir Charles ..

    http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/08/...ent-thought-day-their-lives-about-confederate

Basketball superstar Charles Barkley called pushing for the removal of Confederate statues "wasted energy."

"I'm not going to waste my time screaming at a neo-Nazi who's gonna hate me no matter what," the NBA Hall of Famer told WRBC-TV in Birmingham, Alabama.

“I’m 54 years old,” Barkley said. “I’ve never thought about those statues a day in my life. I think if you ask most black people, to be honest, they ain’t thought a day in their life about those stupid statues.”

Barkley has not minced words when pointing out what he sees as his black community's problems, such as last year when he spoke about violence against cops.

One day it's global cooling/warming/climate change, another day it's men in little girls bathrooms, another day it's protecting criminals in sanctuary cities, another day it's wanting the EPA to regulate rain puddles, another day it's 100 year old statues ..it's like girls on pms all over the board and the flavor of the day with these drama queens.

I seriously doubt most blacks and liberals spend all week day dreaming of the confederates and those statues. It's just a small number of people looking to stir the pot and start up trouble.

For as long as I can remember liberals needed something to rally over. Personally, I think man of them don't even know what the causes they fight for are about, they're just told to do something and they do it. How is it that these statues have been around forever and they're suddenly offended by them?

For me, Barkley is all over the board on political, social and other issues. What I like about him is that he is unafraid to go against the current. We need more like that. In this case, I welcome his remarks with open arms. Thank you. This "wasted energy" he called it. That is one thing surely evident. But the main mission for these lefties and media with their pants on fire has nothing to do with confederate history, or Russia, or vulgar ways of addressing woman. It is simply try to find something to pin on Trump or find something to divert the nation from the real serious issues Trump is trying to resolve. At least, that is what the DNC, the media, and the republican traitors in congress are all about.

Perhaps one should listen to Andrew Young. This interview was taken when all the hoopla over the South Carolina Confederate Flag. He makes sense.

An international civil rights icon and former Atlanta mayor weighs in on the debate the entire country is talking about. FOX 5's Morse Diggs sat down with Ambassador Andrew Young to get his take on the Confederate flag and his answer might surprise you.

He said some people fighting against the flag are more worried about treating the symptoms than treating the illness.

    ...

"I would never trade the flag for a single job," said Young. "The problems we face don't have anything to do with the flag. The fact is that 93% of black people killed are killed by other black people. So black lives matter. Let us start believing that we matter."

Instead of worrying about Confederate symbols, the man who walked with King recommends we pay attention to the substance of what's taking place right now in 2015.

"The flag is a symbol that means a lot of things to a lot of people when you get to institutions like Washington and Lee University," claimed Young. "I admire that, I admire that. I admire the restoration of southern traditions in Washington and Lee University. The challenge for us is not to wipe out our past history but to learn to live together in the future."

I also like what this lady had to say from the NCAAP

    https://www.google.com/amp/amp.dail...-confederate-monuments-statues-not-a-problem/

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday at City Hall in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, local NAACP chapter president Esther Lee expressed her frustration with the current state of affairs in the U.S., WFMZ reported.

“I think it’s all senseless. All senseless,” Lee said. “You know, we’re 108 years in as NAACPers and we might think things would improve, but they do not. You know we still have this factor about black and white.”

Lee continued talking about Confederate statues, noting that it is pointless to take them down.

“You know that’s history,” Lee said. “That was in that point in time. You can’t eliminate what history is. So I disapprove with young people pulling down those statues.”

The left is very bandwagon driven. When they are told an issue is important by their masters they jump into action and it's the most important thing ever. It becomes a social movement and they can't wait to become a part of it, even if it literally meant nothing to them the day before. They, politically, are the equivalent of sports fans who don't care at all about a team or sport until their local team enters the playoffs. Then they become, on the surface, the most die hard fans of all.

    Exactly correct.

More conservative minded folks, tend to be more free thinking, & less prone to reactionary actions.

They're just looking for their next failing round of identity politics, in hopes of winning future elections.

That crap may have worked through the 90s and 2000s when everyone thought they were on easy street, living off of debt and expecting to retire on the wealth in their homes. But now they have bigger problems to worry about
