What does it have to do with the food they serve? Why does person X's opinion on gay marriage matter if it has nothing to do with their business? Even if they were anti-interracial marriage. Unless they were donating to a group like NAMBLA or Al-Quaida, then I honestly could care less. This isn't about defending gay rights, this is just homosexual McCarthyism - trying to 'out' people as "anti-gay" even when their opinions on homosexual marriage are totally unrelated to anything.
What makes you think Chick-Fil-A's position doesn't have ramifications that might affect someone personally? I see your bigotry and raise you being ignored.
Glad to see he thinks gay marriage is bad enough to invite God's judgment but not the constant state of wars and violence worldwide, political corruption and rampant starvation.
Of course, I will take it personally. You can take it whatever way you wish. And really, isn't that what companies like Chic-fil-A are doing, in attacking just homosexual people so exclusively? Yes, I've been gay all of my life and I think I've earned the right to take what any corporation is doing in that arena "personally". If nothing else, it will keep me charged and ready to go, in opposing them... even if it's just telling a group of friends "no thanks", when I'm out with them finding a place to eat. (It won't be C-f-A; that's for sure.)
I won't stop eating from Chick-fil-A at all because of this, however there's no moral high ground for Cathy to have here, nor will complaining about how this generation sees things amount to anything.
nah I'm quite certain that gay males and women have eaten there and even worked there. I don't know where you get this nonsense
Even so, the official PUBLIC position of the corporation does matter. And do we want to know just how many people have been fired, due to being gay?
unless he/she/jalpeno pepper is working there i don't see how the actions of a third rate regional grease pit is going to affect anyone. "but they're giving money to the fight gay stupidity!!!1!" yeah, well, we gave Obama a trillion dollars to fix the economy and that didn't do a lick of good. throwing money fixes nothing. good. now quit looking at my ass.
i'm sure it never was high on your list to begin with. at least it shouldn't have been. fried food is bad for you. now put down that 20oz bottle of diet coke. the sodium is going to kill you, and the acid is going to rot your teeth.
You wouldn't know. Even so, I LIKE the food A LOT. (I passed it up today, for the first time.) People tend to eat something or the other that is less-than-healthy. Maybe that fried food made me "gay". Yep. We're all dying somehow. Even so, I suppose I can die without fueling the bank account of C-f-A ever again.
I don't know how many, but they will lose customers. Over time, as certain people and certain mindsets die off, their current anti-gay stances will matter far less.
They will lose a few customers because of this policy, just like they lose some business by not being open on Sunday. Even so, I doubt they will lose enough to make any significant impact. A lot of the time when I go there, the line is moving quickly and still stretches around the building. I doubt that will change much just because of the personal preferences of the business owner.
I find it funny when people act like certain mindsets or thought patterns are new. In case you didn't know, people have been arguing over issues just like this for thousands of years. CFA isn't going anywhere just because you think everyone will wake up in 20 years and magically agree with you.
Likely correct. But the political noise their position makes is a catalyst for further discussion and argument; at least for a time. Yes, the food is good. Even so, there are things they can yet say/do which might affect them in the eyes of the public. Boycotts don't always work; sometimes they do. Well, some things take time to see.
No, it's not "new" stuff; but things in America run a certain political course... which tends to affect laws over time. That's what astute people have their eyes upon overall. A lot of laws have been changed over time in America, and those laws discriminating against homosexual people will also change in time. (see the above) Again, that isn't how it works. And if I believed that what you said were going to happen... I would surely have said it. I'm just telling you and anyone else, that homosexual people will ALWAYS fight for their rights here in America. Over time, we tend to win victories.
You win because you whine more than all the other minority groups put together. You represent 3-5% of the population yet take up about 10x that amount of the public conversation regarding anything to do with politics or entertainment. You are very successful at directing the public's views and your own views on people such as myself aren't always the most flattering. Note: "you" refers to the corporate group of LGBT and no one person individually. Also, I don't really give a crap one way or the other because you don't affect me in the slightest. I just like to argue and point out the lowing hanging pieces of stupid fruit (funnily enough, no pun intended) that I see on the branches around here.
Chic Fil A is the only fast food business that closes on Sunday for Church services, Of course they are anti gay .
10 percent of the animal kingdom is homosexual, so not counting closet homosexuals its comparable to humanities percentage so 8 percent aren't being counted for.
