Looks like this story is just about cooling in the upper atmosphere . . . which happens even when the surface is warming. It's actually one of the primary predictions of AGW.

 

well yeah, it happens all the time in nature. And in places like parts of Africa with humans. It’s mostly starvation, with only the fittest pulling through. In our world, if it is overpopulation combined with dwindling fossil fuels that have allowed us to artificially support such a large population, things could get really ugly. Hopefully we are able to find a replacement for fossil fuels soon, something much more efficient than current green energy technologies, or we could be in for a rude awakening.

 

You had better tell that to NASA. Obviously they aren't scientific enough for you.

The sun "dims" like this every 11 years. Every. 11. Years. And yes the upper atmosphere cools. The surface doesn't. In fact, the warming trend continues here on the surface, despite the "dimming." NASA has called this basic fact, that the warming continues even when the sun dims, the "final nail in the coffin" for AGW denialism.

Yes, I remember that announcement and the resulting cricket chirps from the Climate Change hysteria Left which had been SWEARING that it was going to inifnitely get hotter and hotter. But than again that's the real reason why scientists switched from specific designations such as Global Warming or Global Cooling to the absolutely anything goes designation of Climate Change . . . since everything therefore works for their propagandists. But it still takes them time to get their story straight when everything pulls a 180 degrees directional turn on them . . . hence the stubborn silence on this issue.

NASA so called climatologists are just a group of pro AGW zealots that use acronym NASA to garner credibility. They have nothing to do with the organization that put a man on the moon.

That could mean a repeat of the Dalton Minimum, which was one of the most extreme weather periods in history. The Dalton minimum was a period that lasted over three solar cycles from 1790-1830 and resulted in heavy snows, deep frost and general cooling around the globe.

According to The U.S. Sun, the Dalton minimum led to “periods of brutal cold, crop loss, famine and powerful volcanic eruptions … Temperatures plummeted by up to 2C over 20 years, devastating the world’s food production.”

A lower period of solar activity is sometimes referred to as a “Grand Solar Minimum.” The Maunder minimum, which took place between 1645 and 1715 in the Northern Hemisphere, led to a one-two-punch of cooling: volcanic activity resulted in a cooler stratosphere while low solar activity produced lower surface temperatures.

Some have referred to these periods as a “mini Ice Age” or “Little Ice Age.”

Actually I hope earth does warm instead of cool. Warm is good, another LIA not so good.

 

I've listened to plenty of other scientists. If the denier "scientists" can start ponying up some evidence, I'll be willing to listen to them too. If all they can do is stamp their feet and cry and call NASA doody heads, then no, there really isn't anything to list to.
