    You named 2....yay!

His general point stands unless you have something substantial to suggest otherwise.

NFL teams do not pay you to "speak your mind". They pay you to play football.

And , in Kaepernik's case, his skills diminished as his mouth increased, pissing off MANY NFL paying customers.

That adds up to nobody wants to have to deal with his bullshit. There is a new crop of players ever year, and Kaepernik apparently lost track of that fact.

So Kaepernick is a drama queen for not taking part in a useless ritual but all the people crying about him not wanting to make out with a flag aren't? You know how we show respect for the people who fight for us, we pay their salaries. We have actual holidays to celebrate them. We don't need to shoehorn "patriotism" into every little thing we do. This is a country not a cult. If you need that in your life then by all means, put flags all over your house and listen to the star spangled banner on loop.

Who gives a **** about being a law abiding citizen, if you don't like a song and worship the military that doesn't actually protect us a lot of the time then you can get the hell out! Why are you going to a football game to show your solidarity and love and respect for your country anyway? Aren't there more appropriate and relevant venues?

It's funny how you claim to love the flag so much but have no idea what it stands for. Kaepernick not standing is acknowledging his rights. He clearly cares far more about this country than you do. Grow up.

Look at his starting QB stats in 2011 for example. There were several times where Tebow scored once in the first quarter and the offense more or less disappeared until the 4th quarter. Not only that but he had a 50% completion percentage or less in most of those games, in fact there was only one game that year that he had a completion rate above 60%.

Quite a few black QBs do well in the pros, not just Cam Newton and Russell Wilson, those are 2 names among several others though I should've mentioned Michael Vick also.

Also, as a note anyone who claims "I'm giving out some racist honesty" tends to be completely full of sh1t.

Enough for the 49ers to put him in and bench Blaine Gabbert last season, apparently.

The problem with Kaepernick and those like him, is that they forgot that it is the US and it's system that made him rich. Let's face it this dude is not a Rhodes scholar, he's not articulate or flamboyant enough to be a broadcaster. Ever hear the saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you", as a lap dog that bit, he's now in quarantine. And will be until he shuts up and plays by the rules or someone desperately needs a quarterback.

Kaepernick is a hard dude to figure out. He's got talent, and is a dual threat. He's got a cannon for a arm, and can move on the ground. But, when he's having a bad game, and he completely looses it, he looks like he doesn't belong on the field at all.

I should add that as a starter, his W-L record is 32-32 when including the playoffs. Admittedly his last 2 seasons were bad, which ironically were his first 2 seasons without Jim Harbaugh.

Where should he deserve to be a starter though? He's not that good. He's okay, but he's a backup IMO. He doesn't fit the Jets (who need a qb), he could be a starter in Cleveland I guess, but he's a Seattle-offense trend. And they have Wilson.

Now, even though they still don't have a reliable QB. They do, however, have Kyle Shanahan as a coach so that could be a good sign.

Wilson is not losing his job to Kaep, unless a major injury to him or Trevonne Boykin occurs.

Shanahan is just waiting for Cousins' franchise tag to be up. Bet money Cousins' goes to SF next year for a long term deal.

Kaep will never beat out Wilson. My question is, where should he start?

Kaepernick pointed out that the ruling bipartisan political class was corrupt and evil - this is never "appropriate" or "acceptable" to entrenched political power.

“I mean, you have Hillary [Clinton] who’s called black teens or black kids super-predators. You have Donald Trump who’s openly racist. I mean, we have a presidential candidate who’s deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me, because if that was any other person, you’d be in prison. So what is this country really standing for?” Washington Post, Colin Kaepernick criticizes Clinton and Trump, says he will keep sitting during anthem, By Jeremy Gottlieb, 8/28/16
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-he-will-keep-sitting-during-national-anthem/

    Kaepernick is finished.

Unless he decides to run for Congress as an anti-establishment populist. He should ask Trump to assess his odds. ;-)

Big risk financially to sign Kaep with Blake. If I were Jacksonville, I wouldn't.

Black Lives Matter Leader Calls for NFL Boycott Over Kaepernick 'Blackballing'

Daily News columnist and Black Lives Matter leader Shaun King announced Tuesday he is boycotting the National Football League for allegedly blacklisting Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick, who started a nationwide trend with his controversial decision to kneel during the pre-game national anthem to protest racial injustice in America, has not been signed by an NFL team since he opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March.

“I can’t, in good conscience, support this league, with many of its pro-Trump owners, as it blacklists my friend and brother Colin Kaepernick for taking a silent, peaceful stance against injustice and police brutality in America,” King wrote in the Daily News. “It’s disgusting and has absolutely nothing to do with football and everything to do with penalizing a brilliant young man for the principled stance he took last season.”

King said Kaepernick remains unsigned because of racism, bigotry and discrimination.

"As a leader in the Black Lives Matter Movement, as a voice in the resistance to Donald Trump, and as a friend of Colin Kaepernick, I cannot, in good conscience, support the NFL any longer. If I did, I'd struggle to look my own son in the eyes or look at myself in the mirror," King concluded.

If he's being blackballed, then it appears his black life matters, well enough for someone to officially ignore him anyway. How many people get that sort of recognition? God these whiny BLM racists are just getting out of hand...

Kaepernik made the mistake of over-estimating his value/skills, and under-estimating fan popularity, in a popularity-driven business.

He is of mediocre skills, as life without Harbaugh taught us, and infuriates most of the pro-American NFL fan base, who do not want to pay him to hear his asinine, ungrateful, anti-American nonsense...

A mediocre QB cannot publicly point out that Clinton is "evil" and 'liar" and keep playing.

“San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, whose "Star-Spangled Banner" protests have attracted nationwide attention, says Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are shameful choices for the presidency. “It was embarrassing to watch that these are our two candidates,” Kaepernick said Tuesday, the day after the first presidential debate between Trump and Clinton, according to USA Today.

“Both are proven liars, and it seems like they’re trying to debate who’s less racist,” the 49ers backup added. "And at this point … you have to pick the lesser of two evils. But in the end, it’s still evil.” Colin Kaepernick, The Hill, Colin Kaepernick: Clinton, Trump ‘embarrassing’, Mark Hench, 9/27/16.
