    WRONG. Is the "V" sign a victory salute or a peace sign? It depends, doesn't it, mostly upon WHEN it was used. Those guys were not flashing a Black Panther salute or any Nazi salute. Maybe you are too young to know but I was around during that time. The raised fist was equivalent to the verbal mantra, "Keep the faith!" in this case, black pride against racially social inequality.

    When you run out the door on a rainy day you don't know if you are going fall or slide. Every time you run you are at risk. Smith and Carlos cleared the path for anyone to follow. In the end, they too were vindicated.

    The real question is if you are going to be riled up. If so, it's your problem. Or maybe it upsets you that others are "riled up". That's also your problem. The sooner you ignore it you won't be "riled up" any more and you won't have a problem with it. It's up to you.

    It doesn't prove anything. It just shows how compassion and honor are still abundant in America. It's people like you that depict the negative from everything instead of seeing the truly good.

    Here's another pic that went viral. These four teenage boys were going to their high school football game and as they walked toward the stadium they heard the National Anthem and stood still with their hands over their hearts.
