Nope. You see, there are expedited procedures for immigrants that have sponsors. Especially for those that are married to US citizens. They can expect to be given Visas within 3 months in most cases. Then they simply live in the US while they complete the process for getting resident status. Do not confuse Residency with Entry.
The term "Amnesty" is a very euphemistic term. "Amnesty" should imply that the US government will not seek to press criminal charges on illegals for having illegally entered into and worked within the country. Illegals could be given "amnesty" for their prior criminal acts, and still be deported. Instead, the word "amnesty" is being misleadingly used by liberals as a policy to give immunity to illegals from the immigration laws in the USA. Real amnesty only forgives criminals for prior criminal acts. Saying in advance that criminals will be forgiven after they continue to break the law is not really amnesty. I say, give all the illegals REAL amnesty, then DEPORT them all!! Amnesty does not give them the right to continue to break the law!
