Consenting adults exchanging money for sex - should it be illegal?

No they won't. The exchange of money for sex with a minor in California remains 100% illegal.

 

Only for the adult who's paying the minor. The under age prostitute gets a free pass starting on the January 1st.

 

Considering the huge amount of child prostitutes who are victims of coercion or human trafficking, how is that a bad thing?

You and I live in, as I see this, the least freedom driven state of all. We battle government constantly to try to keep a scrap of freedom.

When I was a child, in CA you could actually gamble legally. Slot Machines were all over the state.

But the left decided to remove those freedoms.

Women must have a valuable service to perform since men are eager and willing to pay some steep prices. I think men pay over what Doctors make per visit and want to pay it.

Taxes must be why it is not legal.

What is lesser known is women also pay for the same services as men pay for.

 

I see pimps and unions in the same light.

 

Legal prostitution in the state of Nevada requires the women to use pimps.

Let me tell you all how it was in Holland in 1963.

Prostitution was open. And you should have seen a lot of the women. They were equal to supermodels. Some of these women were lovelier than was Elizabeth Taylor.

Other than the women working on Canal St, I believe it is, hotels had forms at the entry desk. There the prostitute had the man fill out the form, give it to the hotel, and for a very modest fee, use the hotel room for this purpose.

At that time. the exchange rate was one dollar got you 3 guilders. The prostitute and room fee was as low as 5 dollars or 15 guilders.

I know both cities. Elk Grove is what you expect from a very nice well built community. But the State Capitol, Sacramento is a few miles to the North west of Elk Grove. Elk Grove is serviced directly by highway 5, a major CA highway.

Examine on the real estate sites and you will learn Elk Grove looks awesome.

Sacramento though not near the crime city of say Detroit, has parts of the city were crime is serious. Too bad too since Sacramento has much to offer.

Yes, it should remain illegal, but a misdemeanor unless with a minor and then a major felony. Pimping should be illegal and forced prostitution should be a second degree felony, first degree if a minor.

Keeping it a misdemeanor for adults keeps it off the streets. Prostituted lined up at airports, shopping mails and going door to door is not something that be legal.

 

Well, government can control some of those aspects. like you can only sell services at a brothel or another place of business.
