    stores are private property.

you have no right to hang out on their property, with no intention of buying anything, so as to wait for friends or a date.

if they ask you to please patronize their store or leave, you must leave or you are guilty of tresspassing.

now, if they call the cops and claim you were tresspassing WITHOUT ever asking you to leave, that's a false-report which is a crime.

not sure why you think private stores are public areas where u can just sit around for hours not buying a thing

"Problem is we don't have the full story"= it looks like the black gentlemen were wronged, however, I won't openly admit that, I'll just engage in some wishful thinking that there is more to the story that will eventually show that the black guys were wrong.

I have been asked before if I was buying something, yes.

I have received dirty looks when I told a shop keeper that I was just looking and wasnt buying anything.

Ive not been asked to leave, but its certainly their right to do so.

so if I hang out on your front lawn, waiting for my buddies or just to enjoy the sun, you wont call the cops on me or ask me to move along?

I didn't ask you about your first statement, I asked had you been arrested. Not only has that not occurred, you've never even been asked to leave. Thanks for proving my point.

if you hang out on my front lawn i'll throw things at you and blare shitty music until you leave, but that's not private property, that's my lawn. i support use and occupancy property norms, not private property.

How long were they sitting there? Why didn't they buy some coffee while they were waiting (especially if they were going to use the bathroom)? How did their white friend just happen to show up just as they were being led away?

Heck, there is a nice park just two short blocks away!

This smells like a set up to me.

i dont know ANYONE who allows strangers to hang out on their lawn.

all the folks i know would tell them to leave, and they would call the police if they refused to leave

You're the missing the point and you're usually a voice of reason here.

i already made it clear that if the store staff never asked them to leave, no crime was committed.

but store owners have EVERY right to ask loitering people to leave.

Starbucks, CVS, Walgreens, Target, these are not public areas for strolling and enjoying the day

BLM wants to provoke racial strife. They were rude to the police trying to provoke a reaction.

    Yeah, its a set up.

as a white person, I have been asked to buy something or leave... before, I just assume I had to leave or buy something

I have never let it play out to where I had to be removed by police, I bought something or waited outside

just seemed like common sense to me, now I know what happens if you do not buy something or wait outside

I have also had gas stations tell me I could not use the restroom without buying something

this happens to white people all the time, guess must not happen very often to black people if they think this is out of the norm, guess they should check that black privilege ;)

I believe everyone, black, white or green should be treated equally

Ouch. Before I'd read this I said to myself "this has to be about the restroom."

Sure enough it's about the restroom. Restrooms in downtown districts are big issues for fast food establishments. Folks abuse the privilege and the homeless bathe in them. I've seen this type conflict half a dozen times, first time with black dudes though.
