If I don't have the virus to give you, the mask will protect you from what germs? Imaginary particles that normally would pass between people like from before corona?!?!?

There are cases of people getting the virus and then suffering mild symptoms to then think they have recovered only to go through more severe symptoms weeks/months later possibly from not actually recovering fully from initial infection or being reinfected again. This happened to a friend and also to a separate friend of a friend who is a nurse. That nurse is currently suffering much worse symptoms but too too early to say if hospital treatment is required (as of 3 July)

I had it the first week of February about 6 months ago and was only sick for 3 weeks and felt fine ever since.

The British Government made the order and the people there are expected to obey it.

Why do you claim that communicable diseases and starvation are being ignored? Are you aware of the sustained heroic efforts by governments, international agencies, and dedicated people to overcome them?

Why do you characterize the suffering and deaths as a consequence of Covid-19 as "so much more tragic"? Who told you that?

Do you advocate that a rampant, rapidly spreading pandemic be ignored, underestimated, or downplayed?

They didn't have testing at the time when I went to the hospital. I had to get tested a couple weeks later. I was fairly sick and couldn't sleep because I couldn't breathe without thinking to breathe for about a week. It happened after flying from Houston to Orlando on a plane with 12 asians in the 2 rows direclty in front of me in masks. 3 days later, I started having chest problems.

Economies are not being shut down for anything other than covid-19.
Resources should be allocated for the things that kill the most people and that hardly describes c-19.

Do you suspect that there is, for mysterious reasons, a vast, pervasive conspiracy dedicated to establishing global priorities that you do not like? That governments, international authorities, and health organizations throughout the world are all woefully misguided in confronting the challenge that has spread far more rapidly than any other threat to humanity and continues to do so?

If so, why do you think that neither international nor national interests are indulging you?

You are free to rave that the public concern for the pandemic is disproportional to its ongoing impact, and that everyone should heed Trump's relentless scoffing at Covid-19 -

    JANUARY 22, 2020
“We have it totally under control. ... It’s going to be just fine!”
    JANUARY 30, 2020
“We think we have it very well under control. We have very little problem in this country at this moment — five. And those people are all recuperating successfully. But we’re working very closely with China and other countries, and we think it’s going to have a very good ending for it. So that I can assure you.”
    FEBRUARY 24, 2020
"The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA!“
    FEBRUARY 25, 2020
“You may ask about the coronavirus, which is very well under control in our country. We have very few people with it, and the people that have it are … getting better. They’re all getting better. … As far as what we’re doing with the new virus, I think that we’re doing a great job!”
    FEBRUARY 26, 2020
“And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done!”
    FEBRUARY 28, 2020
“It’s going to disappear! One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear!”
    MARCH 6, 2020
“Anybody that needs a test, gets a test! They’re there. They have the tests. And the tests are beautiful!”

However, such inane braying has proved to be in stark contravention of reality, and reality holds sway for most, if not all.

Yes, reality does not accommodate Trump's political agenda, but that does not justify ignoring it.

    It is quite opposite.
Trump was right 100% there is no spike in death rate if measured as moving average on year over year basis.

I am saying that I have never seen such a coordinated effort to react to such a small threat. This has killed 7 out of 100 thousand people mostly elderly. I’m also saying that there is no clear correlation between lockdown and transmission rates as one looks at Belgium in tight lockdown with the highest per capita death rate in the world and Japan with virtually no lock down and one of the lowest rates in the world. As for me I will worry about things like CVD or cancer because one of these is likely to kill me. Not c-19. You of course are free to worry about what you wish.

I am looking at CDC website.
There is absolutely nothing that justifies draconian tyranny imposed on the whole world population.

Why do you believe that your "small threat" is deemed to be of such monumental consequence by the public, their leaders, and medical authorities throughout the world?

Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan criticized the President Trump in a Washington Post op-ed Thursday, describing how the administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic was inadequate and did not provide testing resources, prompting the state to outsource COVID-19 tests from South Korea.
"Eventually, it was clear that waiting around for the president to run the nation's response was hopeless; if we delayed any longer, we'd be condemning more of our citizens to suffering and death. So every governor went their own way," Hogan wrote in the op-ed published Thursday.
Hogan said that the president downplayed the potential impact of the virus early on. He said the country missed the opportunity to prepare while other countries were experiencing outbreaks.

"So many nationwide actions could have been taken in those early days but weren't," Hogan wrote. "While other countries were racing ahead with well-coordinated testing regimes, the Trump administration bungled the effort."

Rarely has a president shown himself to be so unequal to a tragic national emergency.
Hundreds of Americans are dying daily and tens of thousands are getting infected from a once-in-a-century virus. States and cities are closing down again, threatening to trigger a ruinous new economic slump. Doctors and nurses lack sufficient protective gear as they battle the deadly pathogen. And with testing swamped by waves of disease, one top official is warning of the "the most difficult time" ever for US public health this winter.
Yet this is what is on Donald Trump's mind: Joe Biden didn't fix the country's roads and bridges, crowds of bikers and boaters in MAGA hats prove that election polls are wrong, and the border wall is almost finished (except it isn't). Oh, and by the way, where is Hunter Biden?
Trump struck all the wrong notes on Tuesday, as the US set yet another single day record for new coronavirus infections with 67,417. Florida, now the world's coronavirus epicenter, recorded its highest-ever Covid-19 death toll, and Texas broke its record for new daily cases. Another 900 deaths were reported on Tuesday according to a Johns Hopkins University tally, but the President offered denial and delusion at a White House appearance that even by his standards was a rambling, grievance-fueled mess.

Can any believe what Trump says here?

There is no sense arguing with a true believer.

Just because many people believe something to be true does not make it so. I never let anything stand between me and my independent judgment. If you wish to let others think for you then be my guest.

I’ve mentioned that Japan kept virtually everything open and have very low numbers of cases and deaths. Belgium locked everything down tight and look at their mess. There is no correlation between lockdown and efficacy. Also the world and the scientific community do not speak with one voice.

You may choose to hold your beliefs and even impose them on others by force but I don’t do that.

    These are the latest numbers.

It will end when enough people have been exposed.
