    It was announced that many countries in europe have just plain stopped testing since the majority of cases were positive anyway. This means that the numbers of actual cases is now more than what was reported.

    It took Germany and Canada until yesterday to ban incoming flights from China. Donald Trump did it 47 days ago.

    Please direct me to your rants against Merkel and Trudeau.

    I say close down ALL Major News outlets first.
    CNN,MSNBC,The Networks.N.Y.Times,Washington Post and
    Politico.Maybe the Wall Street Journal.
    And see how much healthier our Country Is and Feels.
    I can almost Gar-Own-Tee it.

    And yet Canada is doing way better than the USA in both number of cases ratio, testing, lost of income mitigation etc, etc... Maybe a mixed system is better than a monolithic one...

    China recognizes that, too. They had changes in government over the handling of COVID.

    We haven't done that even though OUR handling needs major improvement as shown on this board.

    Also, let's remember that Ebola and others come from Africa and MERS comes from the ME.

    More importantly:

    We are NOT going to stop the development of new disease.

    It's OUR responsibility to be ready to handle these new idiseases. And, regardless of what China did, we were NOT prepared.

    I don't care, as long as you stay in your own home for a month and have contact with no one.

    In case you missed it, the President, as well as governors and mayors, have told us to self isolate for a good solid week.

    I think (hope) there are many who do what you do.

    HOWEVER, these medica outlets would not exist if people weren't watching.

    And, they are one the air all the time.

    In the name of American health and security, Trump needs to directly address the falsehoods being broadcast.

    Well, I certainly wish us both the best and their infected per million is currently better at 12.7/M vs our 18.7/M, but, keep in mind that this is a virus where the infected number doubles every 3-4 days until quarantines or social distancing measures are put into place.

    Canada has 479 cases and with 227 more cases would be at a higher rate per million than we are. You can add that many cases in a day and a half, so I hope they aren't being complacent. The more carefully they observe the social distancing, the better their nation and communities come through this challenge.

    The US is now under pretty strict social distancing measures, and our "shadow" infections of those currently infected will still appear even if we mostly stop new spreading. We are currently doubling every 3 days and are at 4663 cases. If we double 4 more times over the next 14 days we could see that shoot to 75,000 even if we have currently stopped new spreading.

    We have good measures in place that as followed will keep this manageable.

    As for Germany, they are at 6 times our infected rate. I have a feeling that when they put their minds to it, that they will do a great job at social distancing and I hope they have done so. This virus has it's teeth into them pretty deep, and it's nothing to take lightly.

    Social distancing flat works, and the sooner the better.
