So if a person is dying and the only chance he has is to use this malaria drug and he wants it , he should be denied it ? It has been approved for malaria whicuwhich is also a virus

Hell anyone dying from this Wuhan virus would take this drug as a last resort. I sure would as well as most people with any sense.

If the drug saved a life this info should be told to the public . This drug is used for malaria another virus spread by skeeters.

When people are dying and one person took that drug and improved drastically in a short time that info should be spread in the interest of the dying.

We dont have the luxury of red tape and long trials when this virus is more lethal than the current strain of influenza.

If people are dying from this wuhan virus the doctor should give it to the patient if the patient wants it.

 

As if you know the condition of the lungs when the drug was taken. There have been no reports of the sick coughing up blood . But no doubt these people have fluid.

Also this virus and what it affects and the mechanisms involved are not fully known.

I have not heard anything about it being a flesh eating virus inside the lungs .

People killed by the flu is not due to the virus but die from bacterial pneumonia a complication of the flu. Yet I have heard some medical folks say this virus literally destroys organs.

It reeks of a bio weapon . Designed to overwhelm medical infrastructure and destroying economies while not killing like a nuke war .

 

The number of people who have had to use ventilators to remain alive and who survived is not a stat we have .

So what do you base those loads on

My guess is once you are bad enough to require a ventilator in order to stay alive , loads dont survive.

Malaria is not a virus

 

First off...malaria is also a virus is your justification? Come on man.

Second, no, I didnt say they should be denied the medicine. If the doctor thinks it is worth a shot and it wont cause a known and more deadly side effect (like cardiac arrhythmia to a heart patient), then go for it. But patients shouldn't ask for it and arguably shouldn't take it unless they can help contribute more information to the broader medical community by being apart of a medical study.

 

The USA now has the worst case of the Coronavirus Pandemic more than China and Italy. New York has it real bad. How much furthermore it goes, remains to be seen.

 

And #6 in death rate.
