What point do you think you are making here? On the one hand you say that Presidents dont have the background to make those calls, and that Obama left it to the appropriate agency to make that call.

So, objectively, it is wrong to claim that Obama did nothing before November.

In regards to the judge comment, his "opinion" is racist because he assumes the judge's parental heritage creates an automatic and supreme bias that overrides the judges' ability to evaluate the legal claims appropriately.

If I say Michael Jordan is a great basketball...is that racist? What if I say Al-Qaeda sends a of murders and terrorist over here....is that xenophobic? Of course not. No, if you say Michael Jordan is a great basketball player because he is black, much like Trump saying the Judge is biased because his parents are Mexican, then that is racist.

 

Again, If your primary defensive talking point is that Trump should not be blamed for [lying about the virus, downplaying its threat, contradicting his experts, politicizing the virus, forcing officials to praise trump, etc] because he enacted a travel ban early on and it is objectively not true that he even enacted a travel ban, you are going to see people get "hung up" on pointing out that your talking point is built on a fallacy.

These kinds of statements from Trump, the Republicans, and Right Wing is why so many people are panicking.

The first cases in China occurred in December, but by the end of January the Chinese have lock down entire cities of 20 million + people and have bodies in the streets and outside of ERs, with people desperate of any kind of care for their dying families.

In the 8 days from transmission, we have 800 cases confirmed, with person to person infection and numbers doubling daily.

Why it can be understandable that laypeople can convince themselves that their 401ks and favorite stocks are going to come back up very soon and go over 30,000 by next week, the real problem is when the President of the USA thinks the same idiotic thing, despite the best and experienced professionals saying it's going to get much worse, and to actually see the experience of the Chinese and their deaths and financial calamity.

This is blindness and propaganda at it's best, which is the worst thing to happen to America.

 

Did you just suggest that calm people are the reason that so many people are panicking? That's an interesting opinion.

I think that media knows how to press buttons and has keen insight into personality profiles of people who are most likely to panic in the face of adversity. They use their knowledge to full advantage. Fear is a powerful propaganda tool.
