Here's the thing.. In the 1940s every child under 2 in the Eastern province had malaria.. Eve disease and blindness were commonplace.. Polio was rampant and everyone had small pox scars.

ARAMCO carried out a massive DDT program, distributed mosquito nets, began smallpox immunizations and began treating eye disease. They opened schools... The work day was four hours of work.. four hours of school. They also aggressively recruited bright young Saudis and educated them abroad..

When you say.."you come a long way,baby" KSA is a stand out. KSA was never a British colony.. The American model was VERY different from the British model in Iran, Iraq, India and Pakistan.

 

I've been there twice. We've had this discussion before. The fact that every time we get into a debate over the humanitarian crisis of KSA, you have to keep asking the same exact questions, is just a derailment.

She was wearing a sun dress (red) and was told it was not appropriate in public.

She was detained and our group station manager had to wait for a couple hours to retrieve her from the police department. And HE was questioned as well.

She was also removed as project lead because she's a woman. Upon Saudi request.

Got to love the tolerant Saudis

KSA is nothing more than a religious extremist's paradise. No wonder most terrorists' origins are from KSA.

Saudis are not extremists nor are they nationalistic. (They were never subject to any colonial power)
