'A federal appeals court has blocked enforcement of a strict concealed-carry law in the nation’s capital that required gun owners to prove a “good reason” in order to obtain permits allowing them to carry handguns for self defense.'

and once again they lose...but my guess is they will ignore the ruling...this isn't about the law , it is about denying people's rights by keeping it in court.

What better reason to carry a gun in D.C. Than living in D.C.?

    2015 stats
    http://reverbpress.com/politics/firearms-per-capita-by-state/

"But if we have the most guns per person of any country in the world, which state has the most firearms per capita? CBS News crunched data from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF)’s 2014 report and the estimated population of each state for 2013 from the U.S. Census, and came up with the following list:"

    1. Wyoming: 195.7 firearms per 1,000 people.
    2. District of Columbia: 66.4 firearms per 1,000 people.
    3. Arkansas: 41.6 firearms per 1,000 people.
    4. New Mexico: 40.5 firearms per 1,000 people.
    5. Virginia: 30.1 firearms per 1,000 people.
    6. Idaho: 24.2 firearms per 1,000 people.
    7. Alabama: 20 firearms per 1,000 people.
    8. Nevada: 19.5 firearms per 1,000 people.
    9. Alaska: 15.2 firearms per 1,000 people.
    10. Louisiana: 15.1 firearms per 1,000 people.

And Wyoming has a lot of guns but a low murder rate of 2.7 per 100,000 people, just a bit higher than Australia (2.0). Gun banners lose again.

This is quite similar to how the Heller ruling initially played out, and we observed what happened there. Perhaps this will follow suit.

sadly the dissent was an anti gun judge that Reagan and GHWB both put on the courts She obviously has gone "Souter" when it comes to the second amendment-sadly older white women from privileged backgrounds tend to be anti gun even if Republican. her dissent was brain dead and its time that the courts and the public start imposing rather harsh sanctions on politicians who pass laws infringing on constitutional rights. being less than charitable towards such politicians, I myself would hope for treason charges and serious jail time and severe financial penalties for those politicians. Others might merely want to ban them from office. Never the less, the public needs to be far less tolerant of this sort of idiocy

gun banners don't care about crime rates or public safety so your well reasoned, factually supported argument means nothing to them

Absent the registration of firearms in these states, I'd be hared pressed to believe the accuracy of this.

They're nonsensical numbers. Seeing as how most states have no registration requirement ATF has no idea whatsoever about who has what in most parts of the country.
