According to the Infancy Gospel of Thomas (look it up), Jesus, as a young person, killed multiple people. I'm too loving to ever believe in a person who might have killed multiple people - sorry, Jesus.

 

Is there an afterlife or not!? If yes, then consider it in your mental calculus in this argument (and God/Jesus is a savage barbarian for seeing that all Jews get sent to a lake of fire*), if no, then admit that the Bible is full of crap!

*Hitler didn't brutally torture, forever, all Jews....so Hitler seems like a step UP from God/Jesus, when you think about it, actually.

The "effect they have on the people living right now" would be to make them far less ethical - to ACCEPT as good and wise all, yes ALL, Buddhists, Muslims, atheists, Hindus, etc. being denied "paradise" and instead receiving nothing for a great life lived than purposeful, eternal, barbaric, TORTURE in a "lake of fire"! A barbaric religion, to be sure (at least that can be argued.)
Religion lowers people's ethical level, to be sure.
The vast majority of evil-doers (as measured by being in prison) are religious people. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Jesus was full of evil: in 4.1, the townspeople complain about Jesus blaspheming and killing people, so Jesus blinds them. A Mullah in Iran recently gave out a legal punishment (I'm not making this up) of BLINDING someone - an eye for an eye, basically. So Jesus is just as bad as the Mullahs. No outcry in the American Muslims community towards this savagery, either. What does that tell us about Muslims?

Yep, religion sounds too good to be true ("simply believe, yes just believe, in a magic invisible carpenter from Nazareth who now lives up in the sky and you get to magically survive your own death!!", etc.), so it probably is not true. Yes, Islam promises re-virginating virgins - I'm not joking. Seventy two virgins, if I recall correctly (from hadith.)

Nothing has taken people away from science, reason, logic, ethics, and critical thinking over the centuries more than the fear that religion has put into people's hearts. Jesus has arguably done this more than any other person (being the #1 religion of all time)....so that makes Jesus about the worst person in world history.

Jesus/Bible teach that magic is real, that a talking snake is real, that dragons are real, that a man living inside a fish for 3 day (science be damned!) is real.

The more people know about religion the less religious they become - Pew polls show that ATHEISTS know the most about religion in general! I'm not joking, look it up if you don't believe me. Very, very telling. If religion was great then "the more you know about religion the more religious you become" would be true, instead of just the opposite.

Then you are in a great position to love Muslims (and the rest of the world) so much that you educate people about the horrors of Islam (and other religions, too, of course.)
