When you create that needed food, your GDP will go down and the democrat who created this thread seems to think the GDP is all important without regard to how that GDP is created. I prefer food over money.

You are 100% incorrect. GOP has no voice where I live and CA leads the nation in poverty. I live in Los Angeles, where it is worse.

A county or state can have a high GDP and still lead in poverty.

Exactly and in California some “rich” counties aren’t so much and some less well off ones are better off when cost of living is taken into account in each. And the so called richer ones had a higher % living in poverty than the others adjusted for cost of living.

Living in Los Angeles, I see it every day. Here, you're either rich or poor. There are very few middle class.

Here in Redding while there are some rich an some poor, the vast majority here are working class or middle class. A home I bought in 1996 was in a neighborhood that was 80% rentals and now it’s 80% owner occupied and most including mine updated/remodeled inside and out. We accentuate how “redneck” we are with our rural emphasis, old car shows, rodeos, and community activities around the 4h of July and Christmas in order to make us seem unpalatable to liberals who might consider trying to turn us purple by moving here em masse

I realize one must live in denial in order to support a party. One can consider California the richest state, but CA still leads the nation in poverty.

That makes the irresponsibility of your party even more egregious. Dem control+highest GDP+highest taxes=highest poverty rate.

And they’re running away from CA and NY as fast as they can because they want to keep their wealth.

Machines produce most of the food. We can find other people to operate tractors.

Well actually it's mostly tech billionaires. And those counties are starting to hemorrhage money as the Democrats make them increasingly unlivable.

And in the big blue states the red rural / natural resources /tourist areas are not exactly on positive friendly terms with the water front big urban centers of said states.

Not when adjusted for cost of living. Also in many of those poor states, it’s their blue areas that are truly poor.

It is the fewer people which is part of the attraction. Fewer crowds and less traffic. Just natural beauty.
