Dude among the many pathetically silly statements you've made since you first checked in here this one is the topper. Trump is a threat to Democracy the way Buffalo are a threat to wildlife in Antarctica.

I guess the bottom line is who gives a toss...He's liked...not liked...so what its not some sort of weird reality show its a question of respect and respect for the office of President. At the moment from an outsiders point of view there seems to be some kind of paranoia being sown within the US which is spilling out into the wider world. And whilst building walls and banning travel etc. may fit into a popular parochial narrative it certainly makes one wonder at the relevence of the future US and its role; if you wish to marginalise yourselves and exist in your own bubble fearing the rest of the world then fine that's okay, however, the rest of the world will fill the gaps without you. At the moment the US narrative seems to be to try and create instability into which the US thinks it can step into and save us from ourselves where in fact all that happens is other nations will smile politiely and carry on.
Trump dodged coming to the UK because he was worried about the reception he'd get here... jeez...grow a pair and come here and argue your point. Leader of the free world.... good luck with that soundbite in future.

Not without reading the contract. But that has nothing to do with Democracy. By the way I'm not buying a used car without first reading the contract from anyone.

Empirical data can be so upsetting.

You don't grasp that a used-car salesman with a very large army needs to be at least marginally honest, since he's swaggering around bullying anyone who doesn't stand up to him. He is doing terrible things to the reputation of a country that used to be popular. Tell him to stop beating his hollow chest and behave like a gown-up!

Of course. If he kept his promises to release his tax returns, provide health insurance that is "something terrific!" that covers "everybody", made Mexico pay for his wall, etc. - and I'm sure there are other things he promised that I would applaud.

Most Americans and the global community of advanced nations agreeing that he stinks in no way prevents him from keeping his word.

Well sure, your reality as you "Find" it ;) As long as it meets the Bumpo "Hate America, American and Trump" narrative it's a Bumpo reality! Why are you defending yourself when your agenda is public record ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

Oh for pity sake dude is almost entirely defending himself and his base from rather nasty and mostly spurious charges. If your side will quit attacking He won't have to spend so much time defending.

I find it by referencing the empirical findings of a wide range of public surveys and noting their consistency.

Not everyone likes those findings, nor my noting it, but that's the way it is.

Whom has President Trump been "bullying"?

And the United States is only popular with Europeans when they need us to do something.

They proved that when we declared our independence from them ;) The English loved their slaves, even the white colonial ones!

If you can find a conflicting consensus of public surveys, domestic or international, you are free to post them, of course.
If all you can do is kvetch about the consistent finding you don't like, that does nothing to refute them.

    That doesn't concern me.

If Trump not keeping promises, a few of which I specifically cited, doesn't concern you, that is fine with me.

(I acknowledge that, early on, his mocking the handicapped and claiming his celebrity allowed him to sexually violate women exposed him as a lowlife, but that does not mean that he cannot keep promises to the public, or tell the truth.)

Actually I don't know.....would you please educate me on the way's he has done this?

Liberty gained by the end of a "bang-bangs (firearm)" (are you afraid to say it?)........anyway to the example. Anytime a person prevented from raping someone and killing someone for starters.

Here's the thing.....WHY does it matter what "most" Americans think. We are not a democracy, we are a republic, which means the minority has a voice as large as the majority across the country.

If you believe that the democratic will is of no significance in America, and that The People should not be allowed to speak truth to power, the consensus viewpoint has no value whatsoever.

Most folks only need to dismiss a popular consensus when they disagree with it.

I oppose surrendering to The State the power to kill citizens in cold blood and, in practice, only those that are not wealthy, but most Americans still disagree with me, and I feel that I must respect the democratic will in the matter.

I believe that people should be able to speak their mind to voice they're opinions until the cows come home, but in a Republic, which we are, the popular vote/opinion is muted so that the minority vote has as close to an equal voice.

I didn't vote for the last 2 Presidents so their popularity is meaningless to me. How popular a President means nothing to the job they are doing.

You talking about drone strikes on American citizens?
