    Let's get real. People who are here legally generally don't want to do those jobs. Sure some of those jobs are filled by people who are here legally. But without illegal immigrants doing those jobs there would definitely be a labor shortage.

    Many of them have been here for years and never attempted to become legal. If they get the boot there are plenty of others willing to legally take their place.

    There is a labor shortage now and Americans aren't rushing to fill these jobs. They are good paying jobs on top of it.

    Be sure and tell that to all of the people my dad layed off when he retired. He couldn't give away his construction company because of illegal competition and just shut it down.

    Yea, but ya just can't hide the facts when one of their releasee's kills somebody. Then who ever signed the paperwork will bite it hard for lying in order to get Federal Grants.......that's some vacation time in the Federal Grey Bar Motel.

    Most contractors do. No benefits and no worker's comp insurance cost, which leaves the illegal to sue the homeowner if they get hurt on the job. The contractor will just file for bankruptcy, leaving the homeowner holding the bag for the lawsuit.

    Yes, they make cash money so they can still qualify for many forms of welfare. They do not have to pay any income/payroll taxes and then send some of the cash back to Mexico. They are burdening the public school systems, hospital (with free care), increasing crime rates, etc. This country spends BILLIONS on illegals each year so I could care less about who's gonna pick berries. We have enough citizens living off the welfare system, they can do the job. However, you'll start crying slave labor then. I'm fine with paying a little extra for produce if we can save our schools and hospitals from these free loading illegals.

    And why should they? The unskilled Americans who would be the right fit for these jobs make more money living off the welfare system. That's got to change also.

    They cost us plenty, pay little into the system and drain $25 to $40 billion in money earned here and sent to other countries to be spent there. It's a Lose/Lose for the taxpayers.

    Most illegals have full benefits and workers comp insurance. Again someone who has no clue. They have fake documents duh. They use those documents to sign up for insurance. Jesus educate yourself. It is a myth that they are all getting paid 5 dollars an hour under the table.

    What part of immigrants make 20 dollars an hour plus don't you understand. They are not being exploited. they are working for a living.You think you can just plug in some American white boy which isn't the case because they are not applying for those jobs. Educate yourself with something other than right wing propaganda. Look at the real world that is right in front of your face.

    Did you know a top apple picker can make 150 dollars a day? Those jobs will be done. I live in farm country and not one farmer near me uses illegal workers, in fact most of his labor comes from the HS kids that live around here. Like I said, those jobs will be done.

    How convenient that you ignored 95% of the post. They are here, making cash, paying no income/payroll taxes and sending money back to Mexico.
