HOW STUPID ARE SOME UNIVERSITIES TODAY? THIS STUPID. Norwegian university investigates if white paint is … racist.

'The study examines the titanium white pigment via “historical, aesthetic, and critical lenses. Whiteness, it says, typically “is understood as cultural and visual structures of privilege,” but NorWhite offers “a distinctively different battleground for politics of whiteness in art and architecture.”'

They remind me of medieval christians engaged in witch hunts.

When you are making big big money 'rooting out racism' you will always find more 'racism' that needs to be rooted out. It speaks highly of Western Civilization that they have to go to these lengths to 'find' it.

It's nice to see some of the Free States standing up against the climate of fear and hate that now pervades the US Campus.

63% of students fear sharing their opinions on campus

“The survey results accorded with the growing hostility towards free speech that has been trending at schools all over the nation in recent years.”

'58% of respondents revealed that they felt “intimidated in sharing an opinion that was different than a professor’s,” an 8% increase from the previous year.'

No one should feel that way.

Someone really loves being a victim... totally irresponsible. Everything is someone else's fault... their own failure has nothing to do with their own actions at all.

DeSantis and Fl are dumping the woke ideology of hatred and revenge and returning this university to the greatness that was a Classical Liberal Education.

Classical Engineering is better than classical "liberal" education.

This is using the term Liberal in the classical sense, as a movement geared toward Liberty and Free Thinking, not this progressive totalitarian crap that bastardized the term. Those folks are about as "liberal" as a North Korean general with a chest full of pretentious tin.

RON DESANTIS IS NOT FOOLING AROUND: New College President Okker terminated by Board of Trustees.

'The New College Board of Trustees has voted to terminate the contract of President Patricia Okker.'

''Trustees also voted to appoint former Florida House speaker and Florida Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran as interim president. . . .

'The board offered to hold off on abolishing the school’s Office of Outreach and Inclusive Excellence, instead opting to terminate four positions within the office.'

    A reasonable compromise.

'Okker made remarks prior to her removal saying the school educates and does not indoctrinate, “You can not ask me to go forward and argue that we are indoctrinating students here.” She also described the newly appointed trustees as a “hostile takeover.”'

Well she's clearly sideways with the Free People of Florida.

'Just a few days ago, New College provost Suzanne Sherman tried to block an event with new trustees Chris Rufo and Eddie Speir. I wonder how long she’ll be around.'

Sounds like he's working to turn the school into an institution of learning rather than a temple of LW indoctrination.

Totally, and the best DeSantis is the arbiter of what learning is and what topics should be taught.

Or perhaps DeSanits is simply pandering to people that fear the educated, telling them it is the fault of those institutions of learning that folks are finding the ideals of the DeSantis voter tired, dated, failed and frankly ignorant. Telling those folks that only if others would not learn free thought or critical thinking, or even things outside the world view of the DeSantis voter then they would not feel so poorly about almost achieving mediocrity in life.

He and his education experts are the ones responsible for education in Florida. He has the right and authority to reject matter that contradicts state law.
    .
More accurately he is NOT pandering to those looking to proselytize children into little mindless dembots and who fear an educated public.

Left-wing DEI bureaucracy has captured Florida State University and installed radical politics as the governing value.

'Florida State University has adopted a series of “diversity, equity, and inclusion” programs that divides Americans along a “matrix of oppression,” castigates Christians for their “Christian privilege,” and offers a racially segregated scholarship that deliberately bars white students from applying.'

    Matrix of oppression.

'I have obtained documents through public searches and Sunshine Law requests that reveal a sprawling bureaucracy, dedicated to promoting left-wing racial narratives, including a seemingly endless array of programs, departments, trainings, certificates, committees, statements, grants, groups, clubs, reports, and initiatives.'

    It's deeply infected academia

'One representative program is “Social Justice Ally Training,” hosted by Student Equity & Inclusion Director Sierra Turner and the Center for Leadership & Social Change. The program provides a basic recapitulation of the critical-race-theory narrative: white, patriarchal Western societies have created a “Cycle of Socialization” that has resulted in “racism, classism, religious oppression, sexism, heterosexism, gender oppression, ableism, ageism & adultism, and xenophobia.”'

Ally Training? Against who are they allying against?

'The trainers make the case that, in the United States, “whites” are the racial group responsible for the “systematic subordination of members of targeted racial groups who have relatively little power.” Whites are also guilty of “cultural racism,” or the creation and maintenance of social structures that “overtly and covertly attribute normality to white people and Whiteness.” By definition, no other group can be racist—“institutional racism” can only “create advantages and benefits for Whites.”'

'Christians, too, represent an oppressor class.'

They are promoting a favored vs a disfavored division.

'We shouldn’t even pretend to take this bullshit seriously, or that it’s tolerable.'

'Christians must atone for their “Christian privilege”'

How is being a Christian 'atoned for'? Who approves the ritual that Christians must engage in, in order to atone?

'Dominant groups—whites, men, Christians, heterosexuals—are told that they are at the apex of the “matrix of oppression,” but if they submit to social-justice ideology, they can seek redemption through “identity development.”'

Yeah, DeSantis is right. This is garbage and The Free People Of FL are right to refuse to fund and facilitate it.

Can you imagine if we were using public funds and facilities to deliver an ideology that described any other groups in such hateful vile terms? And why is DeSantis able effectively combat this when no one else has been able to?

This nonsense has been going on with public funds for a long time, so it is a bit of a mystery as to why it took DeSantis to fight back when no other Republican governors ever have.

Exactly. And he is so darn good at this that I'm beginning to wonder if he will pass on the presidency and continue to show the other Free States how it's done.

While I'm not as excited about Nikki Haley, She wouldn't be a bad alternative and no other governor is doing what DeSantis is doing, as well, but, I bet a number of them will prove to be fast learners if he keeps it up.

She's been a governor, and I don't recall any Haley centric policies that were outstanding, but with her as a Presidential candidate I worry about her foreign policy. She's dangerous.

She's not my first choice, but, if we can't get DeSantis, she may be my second choice. Why is she dangerous on foreign policy? Is she a war monger?

Conservatives like DeSantis want that to end. Anything that paints whites in a bad light has to be removed from the curriculum.
