The map in this game is hundreds of kms across.

 

Massive Multi-player does not refer to the size of the in-game world.

It refers to the amount of people who play the game together, online.

Massive multi-player (amount of people) Online (internet platform)

So, BF3 is a MMOFPS.

massive multi-player online first person shooter.

BF 3 is not an MMORPG like the game states in this thread.

MMO is broad based and no solely used for MMORPGs

I looked up how many people play Battleground Europe and only found threads about how many people play the game. One person stated that the game has 55,000 active subscribers.

If you can find a source with how many people play it, post it here.


Because as it stands, more people play BF3 than Battleground Europe, which would make B.E. not an MMO compared to BF3's numbers.

No they're not. They're small multiplayer games.

MMOs are played on massive servers.

 

What kind of controls does it take..I mean..mouse, keyboard, joystick?

I started to do WoT but it took over an hour to download and after THAT there was somethinhg ELSE to download..I forget..I cancelled it.

 

Mouse and keyboard for most things. Vehicles don't require a joystick, but you'll find them difficult to drive/fly if you try to use the keyboard and/or mouse for them.

I like Warbirds. A WWII flying game.
A massive multiplayer...pay to play on line and also single player for the computer.

I'm a pretty good pilot.

I really like the Bf109 G

Gunther Rall flew that one. It's not as fast or as agile as the P51..(what is?) but I like the 20 mm cannon..
Intercepting bombers is my specialty.

 

I play Allied at the moment in a squad called Anzacs.

I used to play Axis. The Bf-109 is really hard to master as it's a boom 'n zoom fighter, not a turn 'n burn like the Spitfire.

The 1sttime I launched the game it said I didn't meet the specs of 2GB of memory.....lol. That is alot of memory for an older game!!!! My total capacity for my computer is 2 GB. It started right up though. Have not had any issues yet. I will do basic training tonight some time. Shoot me your name in game so I can add it.

 

I can't even get it to download. I get past the first page, click the link to proceed and nothing happens...nothing at all happens. I've tried 8 or 10 times.

 

I've never had that problem so I can't imagine what's causing it.

 

Me either..I get no "error" message.... nothing at all happens..I've cleared everything, left and came back...no other windows open....????? weird.

 

I have an alternative for ya, Akula.

Play Battlefield 3.

but just check out the graphic differentials between BEurope and Battlefield 3

Granted, BE is an older game, and BF3 came out last year.

You shoot lasers in BF3 dude. Lasers. Sharks, with laser beams attached to their heads. From tank turrets. on a jet. Powered by American Spirit.

Ha! Some dude shot me a code so I didn't even have to do basic at all....lol. Typed in .graduate or something like that and it automatically finished them all..lol.

Ok, for game play. The concept is awesome and so is the scale. The big drawback is if you want to get anywhere by foot, it takes forever!!!! I am still a recruit, so I am wondering, do I get a better weapon anytime soon? I want to snipe folks already!

 

Got it to download.I used the "update" link or whatever... stumbled through various screens for about 30 - 45 minutes never could get it to even take my name and password...never mind even get into basic...I read the wiki..tried various things until I got pissed off and uninstalled it.
I guess I'm too stupid to figure it out. Too convoluted and not user friendly...for me.

 

The rifle is the best infantry weapon in the game. It's what I still use most of the time. I can take out stationary targets at about 800 metres in the game with the iron sights.


Plus are you using Mobile Spawns?
