You hit on a good point. The RNC not only did not pick Trump they did not want Trump to win. They wanted in fact anyone but Trump, which is why they ran Jeb Bush against Trump. The DNC on the other hand picked Hillary Clinton to become the Dem Party's presidential nominee a year or two BEFORE the primaries. It was obvious to any thinking person that the Dem system's selection process was rigged in her favor, period. All Bernie Sanders was ever intended to be was 'proof' that the system wasn't rigged for Hillary. But then when it became apparent that huge numbers of Dem Party voters actually preferred Bernie to Hillary the DNC had to show its hand and essentially and overtly steal the nomination from him . . . right in front of the entire nation and world.

Exactly, whenever Trumps comes on I switch channels. I even switch channels when they start talking about one of his idiotic tweets.
Of course. The talking points and memes created by the New Democratic Party and their media partners are directed to the gullible on the left, so they have no impact on me.
CNN is not credible. "After Davis publicly backtracked from the claims, the New York Post and the Washington Post outed him as their confirming source and published apologies from Davis, a lawyer and communications expert who became well known for his work for Bill Clinton. The original CNN story — broadcast during Chris Cuomo’s prime-time show and written by Jim Sciutto, Marshall Cohen, and Watergate reporting legend Carl Bernstein — said that Davis had “declined to comment.” His involvement in the story, on so-called “background,” has not been previously reported." BUZZFEED, Lanny Davis Says He Was A Source For CNN’s Trump Tower Story, Davis, Michael Cohen’s lawyer and spokesperson, said he also regrets lying about his involvement in the story on CNN last week., By Steven Perlberg, Last updated on August 27, 2018, at 10:21 p.m. ET.
Voting third party as did 8 million others, I suppose could be called a protest vote. I wanted to officially register my disdain for both major party candidates while still being able to have a say in the down ballot offices. I don't regret that vote one bit. Even knowing what I do today, my vote would be the same. In 2020, I know there is no way I would ever vote for Trump. That doesn't mean the Democratic candidate would get my vote either. It all depends on whom is their candidate. I have no hangups or aversion to voting third party if I think both major candidates sucks. The one thing I won't do is vote for the lesser of two evils, one is still voting for evil. Knowingly voting for evil which in my opinion is the worst thing someone can do. Knowingly voting for evil.
Before I answer the poll, what does "support Trump" mean, exactly? I can find lots of trivial stuff to hate about Trump, but as far as his performance on his campaign promises, the state of the economy, and pretty much everything that matters, I think he has done a surprisingly good job. Much better than I thought he would, and taking into account the constant and relentless propaganda tide against him, pretty amazing. I didn't vote for him in 2016, but if he were on the ballot in November, I would. And unless something significant happens to change my opinion, I will vote to reelect him in 2020.
Well, polls are mostly conducted to guage and monitor the effectiveness of the propaganda machine to affect public opinion. Often you will see a propaganda blitz driving a specific narrative in the media, followed by a poll measuring opinion. The purpose of the poll is to measure effectiveness of the propaganda blitz.
I never did, but am happy he beat Hillary in the election. Trump is the architect of his own destruction. The man constantly steps in dogshit then puts his foot in his mouth. Personally, I find it very entertaining. Now, if we had a poll asking "Who is the most entertaining President in living memory?" I'd vote for Trump.
Agreed, but since the winner was going to be either Hillary or Donnie, I'm glad Donnie won. 2016 was the first time I voted a straight Libertarian ticket (as opposed to a mix of Republican and Libertarian). I'll do the same next November.
I've always picked and choose via candidates and not so much party. 2016 was an election where I voted Libertarian for president, republican for senator and democrat for congressman. Then pretty much Republican the rest of the way down. This year with two very extreme wackos from the right and left as the two major party nominees for governor, it's a no brainier for me to vote libertarian for governor. A vote against both major party candidates as was 2016's presidential vote. 2016 was a good news, bad news election for me. The good news, Hillary Clinton lost, the bad news Donald Trump won. I have no aversion voting third party when I think both major party candidates suck. I had hoped Johnson did better than he did in 2016. It would have been nice to see him get more than 5% of the vote so the Libertarian Party could have qualified for federal matching funds.
I strongly doubt there will ever be a Libertarian President until there are a lot more Libertarian Senators and Representatives...and a few governors.
Which is now impossible. Many people deliberately mislead pollsters or refuse to participate. Do you respond to pollsters or surveys?
You can throw in state legislatures, mayors, county commissioners etc. Local offices. I always though just running someone for president, a few senate seats and perhaps a house seat here and there was a waste of time, energy and money. One needs to start at the grass roots level, state locally. Then go up from there.
If I was asked I would be wearing a MAGA hat whilst telling them I support Dem's because I have an evil streak. Never tell a pollster the truth? Where would the fun be in that?
Not usually. The last time I was contacted by a pollster, she was asking questions about guns in my home. Let's just say I was less than forthcoming about that with her.
I did not support him and I voted Libertarian. I cannot stand the man personally. But I cannot argue with his actual policies and his first supreme court pick so far. As such if he can keep us out of a war, not get shown to actually have worked with the Russians, and not had a huge economic down turn in 2020 I may actually vote for him. Unless the Libertarians put up a excellent candidate of course. I kind of wish you had a option "did not support him but now do"
I'm sure there are a good percentage of exceedingly low IQ Hillary voters who lapped up the Clinton Corruption Cool Aid but are smart enough to regret their ignorance. They aren't smart enough to know exactly when they should be highly embarrassed. Oh, and I DO vote...and it'll be for another serving of the Orange McMuffin He may not be great....but he sure beats the hell outta everything the Dims can puke up
I doubt that as well. There are plenty of people who wish we had two completely different choices, though. We were ****ed regardless which candidate won. They both suck.
