The Chinese don't need to use military force because they already OWN America via our debt.

Not the same thing at all with Australia. However the Chinese don't need to use military force their either. They can just stop importing and watch as 30% of the Australian export market collapses and the economy tanks.

But the Chinese are WAY smarter and way ahead of everyone else.

By forming BRICS they have an ALTERNATIVE to the US dominated market AND a lock on the FUTURE world market as both America and the EU nations struggle with their aging Boomer populations for the next couple of decades.

The BRICS nations have younger populations that are emerging as the markets where all the GROWTH will be taking place.

We Americans will be struggling to support both our Boomers AND the Military-Industrial-Complex at the same time that we are up to our EYEBALLS in DEBT to nations like China.

 

Yes, there was, and at no time I am aware of did the USA ever assist the Russians beat Germany back.

A big Island landmass like Australia has never been invaded in modern military times. Attacked by Japan yes. Darwin bombed, even Sydney shelled by a Jap Sub....and some more stuff. The Japs never managed to Pearl Harbour us and it would have been pretty nifty if they managed to pull it off given geography. They had no interest in us anyway, until later in the War.

China already has a pretty large commercial investment in Australia, and if it keeps it at that, within limits I reckon are already stretched, I'll cop it.

I am a REALIST who watches TRENDS because they are a means to UNDERSTAND long term market changes.

One of my stock picks was less than a dollar a share when I purchased $1000 worth of shares in 1999. In 2014 a Fortune 100 corporation took it over and cashed out my shares at $17,500.

You can only do that kind of long term investment if you understand trends.

If I were Donald Trump, I might be persuaded to go to Walter Reed to figure out why the hell I'm so dead-set on crushing interest rates down to ZERO, or below. In an economy as robust as ours has been for the past three years, with unemployment at record-low levels and labor-force participation increasing again, it is beyond STOOPID that he would be constantly raving about wanting the Fed to crush interest rates in the United States again....

Aside: Japan and the European Central Bank have negative interest rates, and look at what a mess Japan and Europe are! Is there some new mental disease that's sweeping the planet...and did Trump catch it, too...?

 

They are isolating you and Australia is currently very concerned about it. It's one of the very reasons why Australia has reached out to President Trump and stepped up military exercises and training, including the purchase of new equipment.

BTW, Obama ignored most of these requests.

Nothing is going to stymie China and the TPP actually aided them. You should actually read it and know the subject you are discussing. Obama didn't know much and this is another area that proved he was completely inept.

Trump's trade war has had more of an effect on China than anything else. They now have less money to throw around and to buy up ports and resources in foreign countries. They rely on the US for a massive income stream and if that dries up, then they are in serious economic trouble. Trump and China both know this. So while China is not stymied, they have been slowed down, considerably.

 

Maybe you'll have to vote for the "Republic Party."

Yes. And this is why. Walter Reed Hospital is the official location for his exams. And he was there for 2 hours and it included him visiting Vets recovering as well. He was not admitted. He simply had a brief examination.

 

He is a citizen of Australia and wears a costume as an Avatar of a person of American citizenship.

 

Well given the paranoia over climate, that certainly can be understood. But do not worry since you would not be a target ever.

 

Why does he eat junk food? Geez. A guy with as much money as he has could have really tasty healthy meals and snacks as the only food he sees.
