Rarely, ever have I seen such naked condemnation of any one person in print. It will be unsurprising I think to most who know me that although I happen to agree with the above statements, I have to also condemn Vanity Fair for stooping to Don jr’s level.

And herein lies the rub - how do convey a firm, impactful message relating how unacceptable this form of “Trolling” is without trolling yourself?

Sadly there will be those cheering Donnie jr on not because he has a valid message but because this form of ill mannered cheap nastiness is seen as “owning the libs”

Though tasteless Baldwin himself is worse. His own tweets are coming back to bite him.

 

Or more appropriately pulling a Baldwin.

 

Alec Baldwin has trusted himself onto the political stage more than once. He should expect stuff like this.

"Guns Don't kill people. Alec Baldwin does" is right on the mark, but I don't think it went far enough. I guess the LEFT haven't been listening to the atrocious things their political superiors in the dem party have said about Trump these past 5 years or so. I believe that its Alec Baldwin himself as being an extreme anti gun-anti NRA advocate needs to see a more appropriate title then "Guns don't Don't Kill People, Alec Baldwin does" such as, Alec Baldwin has shot and killed(murdered) more people than anyone in the entire membership of the NRA. How that for hitting the mark without using a gun, lefties?

 

As expected, from the forum righties (to paraphrase): "I am a Trumper and I approve Don Jr.'s message". When you thought they had reached the bottom, they always surprise you by being able to go even lower.

 

You act like "Guns don't kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people" on a t-shirt is some sort of pathogen.

Baldwin is a public figure who is passionate about politics and has made his views known to billions, he can't complain when people talk back.

Especially when he's been prominently anti-gun for so long, advocating bans and confiscations, and then shoots someone dead. I've never shot anyone dead, neither have the vast majority of gun owners, so it reeks of hypocrisy.

We know the rules of firearm safety and we stick by them.

I firmly believe in innocent until proven guilty, I will reserve judgment until the facts are clear, but it's worth remembering - there is no such thing as a gun accident, only negligence.

Responsible gun users have that drilled into them because otherwise people get shot. You've already taken most of our guns, can we have our t-shirts at least?

I don't like Alec Baldwin at all. He is a mean, disgusting person and even a worse father. But what Junior said was uncalled for. He knows Baldwin was not responsible for live ammo being in that gun. Now pointing it at someone and firing it, even thinking it had blanks in it is wrong. Blanks can hurt people if fired close enough.

 

You know I find that true on both sides. They are ready to condemn the least little thing done by the other side, but refuse to admit anything wrong done on their side.

I certainly understand the Right's hatred of Baldwin. But using this particular issue - one in which an innocent person was killed - is well below disgusting. Taking advantage of this situation to come up with a marketing message targeting Baldwin shows the level of maturity and decency exhibited by DJ.

 

I have to admit it is hilarious, and beyond enjoyable, to watch the left choke on their own medicine.

 

I don’t get offended over all the cruel Trump jokes so why would I?

 

How many times did Baldwin criticize Trump? Gotta be pretty thin skinned to not handle a bit of reciprocation.

 

So using the DEATH of an innocent bystander to sell T-shirts is OK ???

Trump Jr and Baldwin are in the same category for me. Ignore as best one can, and when forced to either listen or watch (I cannot tolerate both at the same time) then take a large quantity of antacids before hand.

Pretty tasteless and tacky on Jr's part. Baldwin's event comes from the stupidity of ignoring the first and foremost rule of firearms.

Baldwin will probably return criticism with COVID deaths and the world will spin on.
