Don’t expect much from the IG report. Typically an IG report finds faults and suggests corrections to procedure. The IG does not have subpoena power so has limitations.

The curious announcement that it would become public on Dec 9th gives the culprits and their defending media plenty of time to hone their defensive responses.

The one to watch is the Durham criminal investigation.
