Re-watch any contentions interview he has had with Liberals. He never asks the follow up question that would wreck what they are saying. I have doubts that is due to his level of intelligence. Yet, he gets those zingers in just fine when interviewing Conservatives.

Trump is admitting that he is under investigation. And no, there is nothing about that tweet which would indicate it is tongue in cheek or that there is a different context to be garnered.

I remember last year when he interviewed Hillary Clinton, he asked something about the classified information on her email and something Comey said. When she claimed not to know that what she was saying was opposite of what Comey said, Wallace immediately called her out on it and then showed the video of Comey's testimony before Congress, which proved she was lying.

Just another case of Trumps Twitter acct being his worst enemy. It's impossible to contradict statements made as definitive as Trumps tweet.

Trump will get a lot more done if he, and all of the random people talking for him, just said they will wait for the investigation to run it's course. No one can fight a trial of public opinion against 200 media outlets looking to defame you.

Especially when you are so willing to defame yourself.

Meet the Press and The 5

Although I don't watch the 5 much anymore, since like most other Fox shows is quickly getting much worse. Always thought that would be the perfect lineup if they did the following:

    Eric Bollin
    Dana Perino
    Greg Gutfield
    Juan Williams
(Random Progressive, Alan Combs would be my first choice)

I would LOVE a show as diverse as that

I'm not putting forth a standard that he has soft balled every Liberal interview ever. I'm saying there have been numerous times where he failed to ask the obvious follow up, and none of them have been while interviewing Conservatives. Now, it could be his merely complying with pre-interview conditions, but reputable journalists never accept those terms in order to get an interview.

Yeah, can't argue with that. As I said above, I think he is the most honest news person on TV

I haven't seen The Five since it moved to O'Reilly's spot. I'm a huge fan of Kimberly Guilfoyle. My husband has a massive crush on here. I also like Dana Perrino and learned about the inner workings of the WH from her.

Alan Colmes. May he rest in peace.

I do often catch Meet The Press if I can on Sundays. The guests are usually top notch but I don't always care for their panel.

Chris Wallace, IMO, is the best of the best.

I would like to see a second Democrat on The Five also. If you are not watching Tucker Carlson Tonight, you are missing one of the smartest shows on cable news, by my view. He lets guests speak their crazy talk, and he tries to pin them down to answer as best he can. The rest of the press would do well to emulate those efforts. Also Alan Combs is dead. Just sayin...

Yet almost no coverage when those on the left do it.

I am sorry, but I think you are just really upset right now that Trumps attorney looked so poor on his show, but what did you expect him to do? That was an absolute layup? It would be like getting a smile from a jury ....

You know Chris is doing a good job when both sides claim he is a partisan 'hack':

    http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-bl...hat-does-bill-think-of-hillarys-chris-wallace
    http://freebeacon.com/politics/chri...ng-first-partisan-filibuster-against-gorsuch/

Plenty more but you get the point, he has been accused by dozens and dozens of people on both the left and the right for being partisan, again I think that is a badge of honor in the media that not many can hold.

His Hillary and Schumer interviews were some of the more brutal if my memory holds

I don't want to watch TV to see smart, I can get that on the internet from hundreds of sources.

I want to see honest articulation between the two sides, Tucker does not provide that.

Tucker finds the most right wing story he can find and lambastes the other side with the exact type of verbiage that I am now so against. He is the Rachael Maddow of The Right and a MAJOR problem for this country.

Rachael and Tucker spread the hatred of the other side with their snide remarks and condescending presentation of any argument.

The fact that you respect Tucker over Chris is to me a good representation of the hatred in our country right now and how both sides flock to their "shepherds of hate".

Who said I was upset? Not me. Who said Wallace didn't get the better of him, from a TV stand point? Not me.

I think the reality is, he is accepting conditions on follow up questions, with some of these interviews. That is unfortunate he has chosen to whore himself in that manner.

If you're thinking of the same Hillary interview I just posted about, when he totally tripped her up about what Comey said and exposed her lie, I would agree. It was one of his best interviews - and that's in a very long line of really good interviews.

Both sides attack him, and both sides praise him. I'd say that means he's doing his job. And doing it quite well.

And it won't change a thing in your favor, the White House and his attorney's have clearly stated it was in response to the WaPo assertion he was under investigation. Your trying to misrepresent it does not change that.

So you watch TV to find stupid hosts?? What?

Maddow doesn't even do interviews. What are you on about? She has a commentary show.

I never said Tucker was neutral. What I said is, he lets people make their point. Sure, he mocks their point. But merely letting them make the point is more than they can say at CNN, MSNBC, or other Fox shows.

Also, if Wallace was as great as you say, he would get something other than a once a week show. He is a back up host, for the most part.

I think there were two, the first was in 08 I think and was a really impactful interview to me that made me favor Obama rather than her BY A LONG SHOT.

She is far too scripted and I don't think she has the ability to move on her feet that is needed, I remember thinking that was a good example of such.

Then the more recent interview you are talking about pretty much confirmed that she lied about the whole thing. I never really trusted her to begin with, with how many lies she was caught in, but all of the email stuff just seemed so egregious. And then to be angry at the Russia thing?

So, she illegally heald all her information on a private server, that server was shown to have come under attack and she tries to say this is not a big deal covering it up.

Then information comes out, much that easily could have been taken from her servers and she is up in arms saying it is Trumps fault? Dear lord, if this isn't political hackery, followed by political pandering, followed by political gamesmanship .... I don't know what is.

Trump is surely an idiot when it comes to politics, but trying to throw the blame on him for information hacked from the DNC, all after she showed ZERO interest in the nations security before, is literally a joke to me. And of course the obvious reasoning for bringing this all up comes to light, they didn't want to actually investigate him for this, just get him in front of people to investigate in general.

    -Rant continued
Now the best part I have recently seen is partisan lefties trying to say "Well the Republicans did it with bill, they didn't impeach him for anything until they found out about Lewinsky"

So, just like I said, tit for tat nonsense that is nothing but political BS. Meanwhile, Rome burns.....

    -End rant

Anyone with any common sense would see he was clearly making light of the WaPo story, and quite effectively and humorously, as the WH and his attorney's have stated all along. Sorry you don't get to wish that away.

Oh weird, a tongue in cheek, snide, smug comment formed as a personal attack, yet defensible enough to walk away from. Shocker, you sound like Tucker or Rachael in the first sentence of your post.

And your defenses for Tucker are literally mirror opposites of Rachael supporters, just so you know.

As to his air time, I think getting the debates is a pretty good show of his non partisanship. But another reason could be that the country is full of such partisan people like yourself and that Fox thinks they will get a higher viewership with someone that panders to that political demographic....

So he's a troll, he's inciting people by referring to the "witch hunt", and he's using his Deputy Attorney General in his trolling.

    Yay. What a swell guy.
