Even though the New York Times is the official paper of record for most media outlets,they tend to have a habit of Burying stories on the back page that are in conflict with a Democrat/Liberal agenda. Not so with Matt Drudge and his Universal site.Drudge does not editorialize.He's not a writer or Opinion maker.He just provides LINKS to places that have Opinions,Facts,Hard news and Editorials worthy of public consumption. Drudge is a true Maverick in the world of News. Which explains perfectly why the White House is against Drudge. Does the word CONTROL,mean anything.Because that is what this White House wants.To control the News.The News Cycle. Drudge does the opposite.Instead of Burying News,he offers it. Which in a way is a form of creating a news cycle.Where Obama and The New York Times may want a Media Blackout on a certain important story like - Fast & Furious - Drudge is on top of it like a duck on a june bug.

Drudge made his bones on the Monica Lewinsky story which a WaPo reporter did all the work on but the WaPo spiked because it did not fit their narrative. The Monica story vividly showed the people that they had been manipulated by the MSM. How many other stories had been spiked to fit the politics of the WaPo, the NYT, CBS News, ABC News, NBC News, CNN, MSNBC? We'll never know. Matt Drudge got rich off that realization. BTW the mistaken pick of the "horse race" was Gallup, not Drudge. As pointed out, Drudge does not write the content. He is merely an aggregator who puts other people's stuff out there for a wider audience.
It is dangerous and anti-American for a President to try to attack a private citizen who is engaging in First Amendment activity. This is just more proof that Obama inspires to be a dictator, and has no patience for our Constitution. If Drudge falls out a window, we'll know who ordered him to be pushed.
Drudge,a Recluse,is far from perfect.There are No perfect human beings. At least ... no longer.Pope John Paul was near perfect and was Mother Teresa. Drudge had it in for anyone but Romney.I liked Newt.Drudge did his best to take out Newt. But w/o Drudge this country would essentially be France w/o the great cheese. There is no longer a Free Press.Somehow the MSM has been bought off, hook,line and sinker.What little newspapers are out there that still have the urge to tell it like it is,have been bought up by the chains { Scripps Howard } whose motto is " Give light and the people will find their own way ". Which I assume is also Matt Drudge's motto.Because he doesn't editorialize. He just puts the news and articles out there and let's You be the judge. ??? I think you're getting a bit too hasty, there. The headline says, "gallup: women turning away". It doesn't say, "Drudge: Obama will lose the women's vote." If a news headline said "male voters turning away" with a picture of Mitt Romney, would that mean it's predicting Romney would lose the male vote? No. It means that Romney will win less of the male vote than previously thought. It only look ridiculous when you aggrandize the headline. To the OP, the Drudge Report is a conservative leaning websites that posts links to under-reported stories. Sometimes it really does drudge up stuff that should have been front-page news but, for bias or lack of time to thoroughly investigate the story before reporting, it wasn't. It also happens that the Drudge Report posts links to stories that turn out to be fabricated. You can really only trust the Drudge for one thing - getting a story before the regular media has had a chance to check it for accuracy. It's not some grand new breaking wave in media (it's actually old hat now), it's just a bunch of links to (usually) early and underesearched stories. - - - Updated - - - mhmmm, and I'm an executive editor because I choose what books I read. It's actually as Foolardi says - he posts links, he doesn't edit stories. I get your point, his bias shows with what he links (and it is a clear bias), but that isn't editing.

That is called CNN. Personally I like getting my news from AP directly via their App. No editorials. I do enjoy reading editorials though. Just because someone is a reporter doesn't make them not have opinions.
Even CNN has biased opinions. I try to stay away from anything mainstream. I don't really have one solid go to that I go for my source of information. I typically hear it from somewhere, then begin figuring out if it's true or not. Too many times you think there is some validity to it, then you realize that media outlet is simply tugging at your leg, and you're the one standing there with pie in your face.
Drudge isn't a journalist, he is a pathetic child with a pathological need to get attention.
