Duality wise, Is War more evil or more good?

It measures man’s fitness and tells us who our fittest are, and for that reason, I promote War.

Is God good because he wars to genocide?

Are Christians who promote a God of War, --- good?

    If so, ----

War is always evil. Anyone who has fought in one can tell you that, DL.

As for whether it can be determined that the good outweighs the evil in any given war, that depends on the war and who and what you are fighting for/against.

In some cases I think it can be argued that the good outweighed the evil.

As for Christians promoting a God of War, I think they're misguided.

I also think it's unfair to single out Christians. That's a question that can and should be asked of anyone who believes in any God or professes any ideology, religious or otherwise.

I wish I could do as you suggest and ask the whole ****ing world what the hell they are doing ignoring decent moral standards?

I am a Christian and I think it fair to ask myself and my peers anything that is pertinent to the harm I might inflict on the innocent, --- were I to walk my base religions talk and be homophobic and misogynous.

Gnostic Christians may be the only good Christians, --- and other Christians should be made aware of this fact, --- because we are moral enough to condemn the mythical homophobic and misogynous mass murdering Yahweh to the hell Christianity invented.

I am a Christian bully and bully my own brain via my more immoral Christian interlocuters.

I am good at it as shown by the mental bodies I leave in my wake.

It is like fighting children, unfortunately.

    Regards

In our dualistic reality, your otherwise intelligent reply seems to have skipped a beat.

I do not recall how many died due to the A bomb, but M. A. D., mutual assured destruction, has given the world relative peace for a nice long time now.

    Science thrives on war.

Have you looked at medical science, especially x ray, as well as the discoveries and great good our ability to war brings us?

Have you noted in war documentaries the many smiling volunteers, when a country needs soldiers and puts out the call?

Are they smiling for the love of war, or the hate of it?

Duality and our benefiting from war, you must consider.

I will agree that any human life wasted to war must get sympathy, but without such, as the price humanity must pay to evolve and thrive, is small.

I hope that that method of war ends as we civilize the world to a higher standard.

Stats look good as atheism rises and the right wings fall.

Like I said, sometimes the good outweighs the evil, which is what makes the question you posed in the OP so interesting. History is full of examples of people going to war for good reasons and producing good outcomes. However, it is a terrible thing. When people forget that, as they did here before our Civil War and over in Europe before WWI, they invariably wind up regretting it.

Back to your point, I'm reminded of a sign that I once saw at a demonstration against some "anti-war" peaceniks here in the States about 15 years ago:

If people don't stand up too evil, evil will devour the world and us with it.

Our major extinction event comes to mind.

It will either unify or kill civilized humanity, if we actually survive.

Pardon me. I need to go spit some micro plastics that my food brings to me.

Many want to fight, but like me and you, do not have a platform and the truth is hard to pallet for their poor imitation of a good god.

Without going viral, progress is slow but steady.

Messiah Yeshua - Jesus is somewhat using the potential for war to test His own followers....... and supposed followers and even his avowed rivals.....

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
    (Matthew 10:34)

It is not that Jesus is wanting wars... it is that He wants us to rise above this rather simple test and come up out of the sandbox childish mentality that leads to full fledged warfare.....
frankly we need to rise even above lashon hara, (pardon my spelling).....

Is it ever ok to speak Lashon Hara?

Actually "ignoring the scriptures" is not what I am doing exactly.....
I am looking at the scriptures as an amateur student of Hebrew and / or Greek that are both very different from English that has been called the language of law / legislation / the loophole free sentence / clause, law or regulation........... Hebrew and Greek allow for a vastly wider interpretation of what scriptures might possibly imply or at least hint at?????

I see that as a dodge.

The Bible states that God aided and blessed the Israelites in their slaughter of Jericho, killing every man, woman, child and animal, with the objective being taking that land for themselves.

That further benefited them, as terrorism like that often does, as they were able to use that threat of wholesale slaughter in their conquest of other city-states and the capture of the land belonging to those people too.

This is not an issue of language.

God blessed the use of war for that purpose.

True..... and in the year 2021, 2022 and 2023 there are predators who prey on children
who could well be given the death sentence through a military court in the U.S.A., as opposed to time in jail! or Community Service of some type.

Much more was going on in Sodom than homosexual acts according to the Book of Jasher that has impressed many Jewish scholars!

It was off the scale unwise for Mr. Bill Gates to go to Jeffrey Epstein island so often.............. he should have known that this would tend to anger his wife........ and lots of other researchers into his life story as well.

Bill Gates Met With Jeffrey Epstein Many Times, Despite His Past

If videos of a certain nature happen to still exist then it is not inconceivable for Bill Gates to soon face very serious charges!

This doesn't pertain to the OP in any way that I can detect, so I'm ignoring this.
Again, this has nothing at all to do with the OP. It's just more of your hate for Gates.

    So, I'm ignoring it.

The OP does present a serious issue. If you have nothing to say about it, please just honor that.

War is a word and is subject to definition......
some of us feel that we are in something of a "war" with a high percentage of the wealthiest and most influential political leaders in the USA and Canada......

Other people felt that they were in a 'war" with the USA President and his supporters between January of 2017 until January of 2021.... so all of this is subject to at least two very different ways of thinking.

I get it that there are a lot of people who really do hate democracy enough to start killing people. We saw that on Jan 6.

But, that is absolutely NOT what the OP is about.

I think there is a real difference between justifying civil war and the issues of justifying one country deciding that it's time to use lethal force against another country.

Making war is generally evil. Fighting to defeat those who make war is generally good. There may be rare exceptions, but I can't think of any.

I suspect it is mostly about how and why. However, war is extreme. I would bet most of our wars have not been good. The war in the Balkans was at least arguably altruistic.

Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, the overthrow of Iran, our support for Israel's perpetual ethnic cleansing West Bank and running Gaza as an open air prison?

How does one justify any of that?

In a way you are correct that we saw something on January 6, 2021 but within a year you will be getting a lot of surprises as to what America was actually shown on that day.

I began to pray for the salvation of Mr. Bill Gates back in the early 1990's.....
Both Bill Gates and myself really like the card game called Hearts......
My ex-wife and I and two of her best friends from back at that time invented a variation of partners Hearts that is kind of like combining Hearts with Kitty Whist, Bridge and Hearts.

I actually even had him in mind when I began this discussion.....

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...is-nominate-me-for-thirty-third-level.590334/

After Yom Kippur 1990 I put in a bid, proposed investment of time, wager, bet toward the debt and guilt of Azazel as hinted at in Leviticus chapter sixteen............ I began to pray about Mr. Bill Gates making an offer equal to mine and then he adds one billion USA petro- dollars to his offer....... no kidding....... This actually could soon become useful to him as more and more Israelis become more courageous.......

I think they were all evil. TBC, I dont think our troops fighting them were evil, as they're usually lied to about our purpose in a war and are punished if they refuse to go. I put it on our politicians who give the orders.

WW2 was the last time we were really 'the good guys' in a war, and that wouldn't have been necessary if we'd stayed the hell out of WW1 which wasn't any of our business until England started flying our neutral flag on its ships while in dangerous waters. We certainly shouldn't have responded to our ships then getting sunk by allying with England...

Korea was sortof a gray area, but ultimately it was a civil war and none of our business. Vietnam shoulda been us fighting alongside the Vietnamese against France. The first Iraq war was just Sadaam starting **** on our (the CIA's) behalf and then us stabbing him in the back to keep it quiet.

This all of course with the benefit of hindsight. We The People didn't have any clue what was really going on when any of these conflicts started. The details dont come out until long after. But it should be a lesson to all of us- our corrupt govt does not send our boys out to protect the innocent or promote freedom. Not anymore.

Given that Lot was declared the good one God wanted to save of that bunch, despite giving up his daughters to be raped, I suppose it must have been quite a nasty place.

How about the Pacific theater of WW2?

Japan wanted to follow the European powers and the USA's behaviour before it, and become an empire with colonies. The US stood in its way, and Japan attacked. You could say the USA bad no business being in the area at all (it didn't) but you could also say the USA saved numerous other Asian nations from Japanese aggression.

There is also the Vietnamese war with Cambodia, in which Vietnam invaded and put an end to Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge.

I think most Americans can justify the military campaign in Afghanistan after 9/11 with the greatest of ease. It's the mission creep and other mistakes we made in that country that are difficult to impossible to justify.

And wars being wars where everything isn't as black and white as everyone would like things to be, a case probably could be made for and against all the wars you mentioned, including the one in the Balkans.

I'm going to pass on making those cases one way or the other, but I will state that your list would be shorter by at least two wars (Libya and the Balkans) if we accepted the new multi-polar power dynamics of the post-WWII/Cold War era and let other countries police their own neighborhoods.
